Zest Property Management LLC 83-2134384 | Government Grant Application

Zest Property Management LLC | Application Preview

Zest Property Management LLC is seeking government grants to secure operational capital for expanding its local projects. The funding will support growth, which includes costs for obtaining new projects, training additional long-term staff, and pre-purchasing necessary materials.

The company has experienced growth primarily through referrals and aims to allocate a marketing budget to broaden its reach in acquiring local clients.

A key reason for approving the funding is Zest's commitment to low-income housing, with over 70% of its projects in this sector, particularly in Detroit. The organization is dedicated to enhancing local communities by providing affordable housing and employs local personnel from its Southfield office.

While there are many competitors in the property management industry, most focus on mid to high-income markets due to higher profit margins. Zest distinguishes itself by prioritizing low-income residents, offering much-needed services where few companies operate. Founded by local investors in 2018, Zest remains committed to local hiring and community-focused work, contrasting with competitors who often outsource their operations. This dedication to the community and commitment to licensed, insured services reinforces Zest's competitive edge in the market.

  • Funding Usage

Funding is needed for operational capital to expand to more local projects. Each level of growth for our company has considerable costs in securing more projects, training additional long-term labor, and acquiring materials in advance.

  • Business Plan

Our business has grown in clients and revenue largely through referrals and word of mouth but we would like to start adding a marketing budget to reach a larger sphere of local clients Our organization primarily focuses on assisting with low income housing. While we do have occasional projects in mid to high income areas, over 70% of our work is on low income homes, many of which are in the city of Detroit. Our goal is to help improve the local communities and be able to provide affordable housing. We also only employ local people, which are based in our Southfield office.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are many competitors in our industry but most other management companies focus on mid to high income cities and properties because there is more margin. While these property owners deserve assistance too, we believe it is the low income residents that need more assistance and options like our company. Similar to what we've stated above. Our company was started by two local investors that believed in the Detroit Metro communities and wanted to make a difference in the work they did. Since opening Zest Property Management in 2018, we have continued to only employ local labor & talent despite many competitors outsourcing to other states and internationally for administrative operations. We also choose to focus where there is the biggest need for our services, low income residents. Far fewer companies help residents in these areas and there are even fewer that are fully licensed, insured, and employing fellow local residents to help the community in this fashion.
