Reliant IT Services | Application Preview
Reliant IT Services is applying for government grants to establish a commercial space aimed at improving product inventory management and customer demonstrations. The funding will facilitate a move to a location better suited for these purposes and allow for a small inventory for immediate sales.
The business plans to enhance its marketing efforts by advertising in local newspapers and periodicals to attract customers within the community. Additionally, Reliant IT Services aims to expand its workforce by hiring at least four new employees, including a bookkeeper/receptionist, a service technician, and a salesperson.
The application argues for funding approval by highlighting the prevalence of small, home-based IT service providers in the area. Reliant IT Services aims to offer a cost-effective alternative to larger IT service providers, such as BestBuy Geek Squad and others.
The competitive landscape includes several local competitors primarily focused on residential customers. Digital Solutions has positive reviews but struggles with customer parking, while 911 Express Tech has received excellent feedback. TechyTech also handles both residential and commercial services but primarily serves residential clients.
Reliant's competitive edge lies in its exclusive focus on commercial customers, distinguishing itself by not actively marketing to residential users. The business offers workstation and server sales from a vendor that provides strong warranties and rapid part replacement, setting it apart from other local IT providers in Hardin and Meade counties.

Business Plan
We plan on purchasing advertising in local publications such as newspapers and in newsletters and periodicals distributed locally to target our customer searches to those within our reach. We intend on expanding our employee count to at least 4 individuals which would include a bookkeeper/receptionist, a service technician and a salesperson. Most of the local IT service providers in our current area are small home based businesses. We will provide a lower cost alternative to the big box store IT service providers like BestBuy Geek Squad, Office Depot and Staples

Self Identified Competition
Digital Solutions at 705 N. Dixie Blvd is an established IT support provider dealing mostly with residential customer. There location, while seemingly a nice one, lacks good customer parking. The majority of their customer reviews, while positive, are strictly end user reviews and not commercial customers. 911 Express Tech, at 1537 S Wilson Rd Suite A, is another mostly residential service provider. While I am personally unfamiliar with their work, they Google Reviews are excellent. TechyTech, at 705 N Dixie Blvd, is another residential and commercial service provider. I believe most of their customers are also residential end users as well. We target our business to commercial customers exclusively. While we do accept residential end users as customers, we don't advertise for them. We also deal in workstation and server sales from a specific vendor that offers generous warranties and overnight part replacement services. This makes us stand out from the other providers in the Hardin and Meade county area.
