  • Funding Usage

This will be used to help secure product, pay rent, and insure payroll for my employees. Right now, we are making it break even every week as long as I don't get paid. So far, our business has run off of an SBA Loan and my life savings. We are currently very close to running out of my savings and we used the loan to get FFE and the location rented. This grant would help me keep the 6 women I have employed, help us finish our first year as a business strong, and insure we have the funds to continue becoming a huge community resource in our area.

  • Business Plan

Year 1: The Company soft launches the first Monday on July 31st, 2023. We host two tournaments (boardgame and videogame) a month to build up passive income and generate excitement. In the 6th month the company will start having themed events to further gain passive income through our reservable rooms and themed nights, which we have done "live clue", "escape rooms", and "Artist Venues". After the nineth month we plan to have steady booking for our rooms and events with birthdays, business meetings, and boardgame nights. This also begins the new year where we will start selling package deals that include rooms, food, drinks, and a game of choice with a personal host to lead customers through it! As we wrap up the year in the last three months, we plan to organize events with local boardgame and comic bookstores. We want to build comradery and community with our local businesses as we get closer to our one-year anniversary and break-even goal. Year 2: We will invest in employee wages, increase boardgame and book inventory for purchase, and make the boardgames in the café free to play. We will also focus on refining the company's website so that it offers more in-store products. Year 3: We again will re-evaluate wages and have our own brand of coffee, and begin to roast our own coffee beans to market and sell in-store and online. Next, we plan to begin training and investing time in employees for management roles as we plan to expand to a second location. Year 4: It will be time to start looking for a new location and begin training store managers and reevaluate wages. We aim to make sure all standards are in place and start an official employee handbook. Lastly, our focus will be to create and publish our cafe's first official book and boardgame. Year 5: Time to celebrate five years of successful business operations. We will open a second location, promote managers, and invest in employees and their wages. I (Bronson Bess) will move into a general manager role to supervise event creation, lead and coach teams, and balance both stores. Year 6: We plan on the second store hits the breakeven point, and finish its first successful year of operation. We will publish our second official "boardgame" and first official "expansion" for the first boardgame. We also plan to start looking at property in the tricities area to make sure we can encompass as much of our region as possible to make an impact as we look to build a standalone store. We aim to promote from within and train the next generation in leadership within the company. Year 7: We will break ground for a third building. We plan to celebrate the success of our team and revel in what our company has become. We would like to begin looking into what it takes to become a franchise and start working on the possibility of becoming one. We are creating a more family friendly environment and a real sense of comunity in the tricities area of Blountville TN. The Fox's Dens main focus is to bring people together and providing the space and shared experiences that other cafes lack.
