Afreecar LLC | Application Preview
Afreecar LLC is seeking government grant funding to expand its team for developing software and hardware, as well as to support pilot programs. The company's business plan involves collaboration with healthcare providers to establish a solid business case, validate physical prototypes in pilot settings, and create solutions aimed at reducing disease transmission and decreasing costs related to worker injuries.
Afreecar's founder has a distinguished background in the automotive industry, having previously led advanced vehicle programs at General Motors, served as a Vice President at Qualcomm, and directed future vehicle initiatives at Waymo. With a portfolio of 50 patents, the founder has developed a low-cost, sustainable solution for enhancing mobility in underdeveloped regions and is now shifting focus to apply this expertise to US healthcare facilities.
In the competitive landscape, Afreecar faces significant players such as Stryker in medical equipment, BIBUS SES in the industrial sector, and Superpedestrian in micromobility. However, Afreecar's competitive advantage lies in its development of a universal power assist solution that can be integrated across a variety of non-motorized vehicles, allowing for shared use and reduced costs, unlike existing single-point solutions.

Business Plan
Working with healthcare providers I will develop business case, prove out physical prototypes in a pilot environment and create a solution that reduces disease transmission and lowers costs associated with worker injuries Prior to leaving corporate America, I led advanced vehicles programs at General Motors, was a Vice president at Qualcomm and led future vehicle programs at Waymo. I have a track record in innovation, with 50 patents, and have identified a low cost, sustainable solution for providing assisted mobility to underdeveloped regions of the world and am now pivoting to applying the same solution to healthcare facilities in the US

Self Identified Competition
Major competitors include medical equipment providers, like Stryker. In the industrial space a major competitor is BIBUS SES and in the micromobility space a major competitor is Superpedestrian Main difference is that single point solutions exist to provide power assist for many non-motorized vehicle categories (e.g. wheelchairs, wheelbarrows, bicycles, hospital beds, meal carts, etc.) but Afreecar is unique in developing a universal solution that can work with all vehicles so that it can be shared to bring cost down.
