Tundra Desert Bin and Trailer Rentals | Application Preview
Tundra Desert Bin and Trailer Rentals is seeking government grants to fund hiring employees, acquiring equipment, and supporting operations for one year. The business plans to reinvest profits to purchase more equipment and expand its services into additional cities and states.
The rationale for approving the funding centers on Tundra Desert's potential to compete with industry giants like Waste Management by offering lower prices—typically around $300 less—and next-day pickup services. While GFI is increasing its presence in the area at a higher cost, and Apex Waste charges significantly more, Tundra Desert also distinguishes itself by providing local transportation services, an area currently unserved by competitors.
Tundra Desert's competitive advantage lies in its commitment to building strong community relationships. The company offers waste removal alongside local transit services for various goods such as gravel, building materials, and ATVs. Its bins, which are shorter yet capable of holding 13 cubic feet, can be placed in tighter spaces than traditional large dumpsters, making them a convenient option for customers.

Business Plan
By reinvesting the profits to buy more equipment and hire employees. To expand into other cities and states. My company would be a competitor of a major corporation for construction and yard waste removal. We also offer local transportation for various items for individuals that do not have the means or knowledge of trailer operations.

Self Identified Competition
First competitor is Waste Management. We are able to cut most about $300 less than their price and next day pick up. Second competitor is GFI that is moving more into the area but is still high cost. Apex waste would be a third competitor but does not have the same size and charges about 300 to 500 more than we will. There is no competitor for the local transportation. We are a company trying to build a relationship with the community. Not just offering waste removal but the local transit. Hauling items like gravel, building material, and atv's. The bins are shorter in length but haul a 13in cubic feet and can be placed in more areas than the large dumpsters.
