BOOTHILL GECKOS 88-33111228 | Government Grant Application

BOOTHILL GECKOS | Application Preview

Boothill Geckos is applying for government grants to ensure safe, cost-effective housing for their leopard geckos and to set aside funds for unforeseen challenges. The aim is to preserve various morphs and bloodlines, which are crucial for the future of the species.

The business plan focuses on growth over the next five years by carefully selecting holdbacks for future breeding efforts. The applicant highlights a strong foundation for approval, noting that Vocational Rehabilitation of Sedalia, Missouri, has already invested in the venture. Training under respected industry leader Joe Yingling further strengthens their credibility, along with a commitment to ongoing improvement since the business started in September 2022.

Competitively, Boothill Geckos distinguishes itself from two major rivals, Geckoboa in Idaho and Lake Erie Leopard Geckos in Ohio, by being centrally located in Missouri. This central position enables them to offer unique breeding outcomes and bloodlines. The applicant believes that the need for outcrossing between different facilities will drive competitors to seek partnerships, benefiting Boothill Geckos in the long run.

  • Self Identified Competition

#1 Geckoboa: John Scarborough From: Idaho Contact Email: [email protected] John has been into leopard geckos for several years. #2 Lake Erie Leopard Geckos: Joe Yingling From: Ohio Retired DNR OFFICER Contact [email protected] Phone Number: 419-621-4751 Joe and I have become very good friends over the years because Boothill Geckos breeds and raises bloodlines from his leopard geckos. Joe has been into leopard geckos for several years and knows the industry very well. Selecting the best hold backs for future breeder's leading the industry in different Morphs not very many have on earth. Boothill Geckos is different because the top two competitors live in different states and I live in Missouri a central state. Also the different pairs of leopard geckos at each facility are producing different outcomes eventually needing to be outcrossed and my competitors will come to me for sales helping their leopard geckos stay strong and healthy.
