Kinzie Lawncare LLC 88-4126675 | Government Grant Application

Kinzie Lawncare LLC | Application Preview

Kinzie Lawncare LLC is seeking government grants to update its aging mowers and equipment, which are crucial for sustaining its lawn care business. The owner aims to expand the business by hiring additional workers, which will enable the acquisition of more commercial properties. Furthermore, there are plans to diversify services by adding fertilizer, weed control, and landscaping.

The owner believes the funding would lead to significant growth, sharing personal experiences from working with a less diligent company. They take pride in their quality of work and customer satisfaction. Since starting the business a year and a half ago, it has expanded to managing five commercial contracts and around 50 residential properties for lawn care, as well as seven commercial contracts and 40 residential properties for snow removal during winter. The owner has had to decline other contracts due to limitations in equipment and staff.

Kinzie Lawncare faces competition from established companies like LT Lawnservices LLC, Malterer Landscaping, and Hillers Lawn Care. These competitors, operational for 5 to 10 years, have lost clients to Kinzie Lawncare due to reliability issues and cost. A competitive edge is highlighted in the owner’s commitment to quality service, customer relations, and a supportive work environment for employees. The owner is confident that funding would be a sound investment, facilitating necessary expansion and better service delivery.

  • Funding Usage

I would use these funds to update my pre-owned mowers and equipment. My equipment is out dated and I'm afraid they will not last me another years worth of lawncare.

  • Business Plan

I plan to grow my bussiness by adding on workers so I can add more commercial properties to our schedule. I would also like to add on fertilizer, weed control, and land scaping to grow my bussiness. I worked for a lawncare company who would just hire anyone off the streets with no experience or no ambition to actually satisfy their customers. I was told to just get as many lawns done as we could in a day. I took alot of pride in my work and realized it was something I was really good at. If I could help someone's else's bussiness get costumers and keep them satisfied, I could only imagine what I could do for my own business. I started my bussiness a year and a half ago with little knowledge on how to run a bussiness. But I had all the knowledge on how to do the work right and how to get and keep costumers. Within a year and a half my bussiness has grown tremendously. For Lawn care I have 5 commercial contracts and 50 residential properties that I take care of. In the winter I have 7 commercial contracts and 40 residential properties for snow removal. I was also offered multiple other contracts that I sadly had to turn down due to lack of equipment and workers. If I am considered for this grant money I know it would be a great investment and It would immediately help me be able to expand the work I know is out there for me.

  • Self Identified Competition

LT Lawnservices LLC, Malterer Landscaping and Lawn care, and Hillers Lawn care are my biggest competitors in my city. The have all been operating for 5 to 10 years. I have had their previous costumers call me for quotes due to lack of showing up when they say they will, better rates, and complaints due to not taking their time on their lawn. Also, the competitors listed above do not offer fertilizer and weed control as a service. As stated above, I take pride In my work and make sure I take the extra time and steps that is needed to not only get the job done, but to satisfy and make my costumers understand I am there for them. When hiring other people to my team I would make sure my employees are treated like family and would want them to take pride in their work and our costumers as well.
