Business Plan
ModernEden's goal is to support other local businesses as much as possible, while also offering a relaxed environment for clients to purchase plants for their home or office. The intention is to expand the business by hosting gardening classes, flower arrangement, wine and paint night, and to deliver purchases to clients within the first year of operation. This should increase the total revenue by approximately 20% initially, and as inventory and interest increases, to offer more tropical and rare plants, with a conservative goal of an annual increase of approximately 25-30% annually. As a veteran, mother, and professional, I am extremely organized, driven, and open to new opportunities and ideas. I have earned an associates in Paralegal Studies from Roger Williams University, a certificate in Women in Executive Leadership from Cornell University, and a certificate in Business Management Essentials from Cornell University. I am highly motivated to make this business a success and make it grow.

Self Identified Competition
The biggest competitors I have would be the big-box gardening stores like Lowes or Home Depot. It's easier to get your items from there because there is almost always one around the corner, and their prices are usually lower because they buy in bulk. My prices will be higher, but the quality of plants that I will offer, on top of the unique shopping experience I will offer my clients will elevate the status of my company.
