  • Funding Usage

Our vessel is in dire need of repairs due to the tornado that hit Panama City Beach early January. We have insurance that will cover most of it with a $5k deductable. However since we cannot perform trips until the work is done, I would like to take advantage of this time to perform other maintenance and repair items not related to the storm. I would also use the money to speed up the process for the damage.

  • Business Plan

I strongly believe that with my credentials on such charter fishing sites like Fishingbooker.com that we will continue to be one of the highest grossing Charter Businesses in Panama City. We have achieved Anglers Choice Award several times over. My intention is to eventually purchase a larger vessel that can accomidate more passengers which will in turn double or triple our annual income. I'm a retired MSgt (E-&7) from the US Air Force. I proudly served for 21 years. I started in the Charter Fishing business at a much older age than your typical charter captain. Most captains come up in the business as a young child, or start out as a deckhand in their teens. I started out at 39 years old as a deckhand the first year, First Mate the second year, went to school for not only my entry level capatains license (OUPV 6-pack) but I also got my 50 Ton Insected vessel Captains license as well. I've been trained by the best captains. I opened my own business just 2 years after retireing from the Air Force and within 3 years of being open, I became one of the hottest Charter Business owners for a 6-pack vessel in Panama City. My reviews will attest to that.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors in the 6-pack State licensed vessel class would be Private Charter Sportfishing, Seawolf Charter Fishing, and Gotta Believe Fishing Charters. I add Gotta Believe because when I was stationed here in Panama City, I used to use their business for when family came to visit. So when I retired I immediately tried to get a job with them. Unfortunatelly they didn't have a position available, but I did end up working for a captain that worked for them for 15 years and got his own business. I also have become very close friends with their whole family and the mentorship I have received from them is invaluable. The charter fishing business has been around for a very long time. Over 90% of the owners in the area are stuck in the old ways of charter fishing. They don't pay as much attention to what the customer wants, and have a very "Rinse and Repeat" mentality for every trip. We have been, and always will be more about the experience for each group. We change up what we're going to do each day by listening to what the customer would like to get out of the trip. We pay special attention to the kids to make it just as exciting for them as well which really helps generate return customers. Several times we've had customers say that they've gone out with other operations in the area and talk about how impersonal the captain and crew were and how they don't interact.
