Eggcellent Feathers | Application Preview
Eggcellent Feathers is seeking government funding to expand its operations by purchasing equipment essential for growth, including new cages, incubators, and an automatic watering system. Additionally, the funding will support acquiring land for constructing flight cages and relocating the brooding and incubation setup.
The business, newly established, anticipates significant growth over the next five years, aiming to secure partnerships with local hunting charters and dog trainers. Plans include obtaining a facility that accommodates various breeding and incubation needs and achieving certification for interstate shipping of hatching eggs.
The applicant, a prior service veteran and current firefighter/paramedic, is highly motivated and determined to succeed despite being in the early stages of the business. They believe there is a clear opportunity in the market due to a lack of local competitors and a high demand for wild birds in their area.
While there are some larger competitors in the state and nationally, Eggcellent Feathers plans to fill a unique niche in a region where hunting is popular. Surveys conducted with local hunting clubs indicate that the business will be the only local breeder capable of meeting the demand for wild birds in the surrounding counties.

Business Plan
I have just started my business. The growth in the next 5 years is going to be astronomical. I plan to grow by securing multiple business deals with the local hunting charters and hunting dog trainers. I plan on purchasing a location that will allow for a building to be built to house cages, incubation, brooding, and flight pens. I plan on getting certified to ship across state lines with hatching eggs. I am very new to starting my business and the motivation is in place. I am a prior service veteran and current firefighter/paramedic. I am not someone that gives up and I have a passion and determination to make this business grow. I feel that I have a plan and capability to supply a high demand product with no other local competitors.

Self Identified Competition
In my local area there are no competitors. In the state Diamond H Quail has a very large operation. In the nation there are a few competitors in the size that I would like to grow, most prominent being myshire farms. The difference that I have is that in my area and surrounding area hunting is very popular. Most places that I have visited has to import their hatchlings from across state lines. In my survey with local hunting clubs I stand to be the only capable breeder in my area to supply the demand for wild birds in the surrounding counties.
