Send it Moving 23620014 | Government Grant Application

Send it Moving | Application Preview

Send it Moving is seeking government grants to fund its new moving business. The primary use of the funds will be for acquiring a box truck, estimated to cost between $25,000 and $35,000, which represents the largest part of the startup expenses. Additional costs include uniforms and moving equipment, estimated at $1,000 to $2,000, as well as insurance for employees, customer goods, and the truck, with monthly premiums between $750 and $1,500.

The business plan emphasizes growth through local advertising and word-of-mouth, starting small and gradually expanding across different states. The founder has years of experience in the moving industry in Georgia and aims to provide top-notch service, believing this focus on reliability and customer satisfaction will lead to success.

The request for funding is supported by the founder's age and determination to launch a business, highlighting prior experience and potential impact in the Georgia market. The plan includes collaboration with two brothers, emphasizing a family-oriented approach that sets the business apart from competitors.

Competition is notable, with three key players in the area: Advanced Movers, Just-In Time Moving & Storage, and National Out of State Movers LLC, each boasting high ratings and additional services like interstate moving. However, Send it Moving plans to leverage its family foundation and extensive experience to offer superior service, prioritize customer relationships, and maintain affordable pricing, setting a goal for at least a 25% annual growth in business worth.

  • Funding Usage

A new moving box truck average from 25,000 to 35,000 usd. This would be the bulk of my costs for the business. i would need to buy uniforms, moving equipment( 2 to 3 different sized dollys for heavy items, protector sheets to keep customer items safe and undamaged, and shoulder straps.) These will be 1,000$ to 2,000$. Insurance for employees, customer goods and for the box truck will be needed. Total insurance cost will run between 750$ to 1,500$ monthly this recurring fee is something I fear getting out of hand.
