Devoted to Details LLC | Application Preview
Devoted to Details LLC is seeking government grants to alleviate financial struggles after accruing a $40,000 debt from the EIDL program. Despite having worked hard for 22 years in the wedding industry, the owner is facing challenges in sustaining the business, especially after downsizing staff and working from home.
The business plans to expand by licensing its directory across the U.S. to assist wedding planners in enhancing their revenue streams and providing coaching in wedding planning. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Mobile Bar Rental Business was also launched to maintain income.
The owner is an established figure in the Columbus, Ohio wedding community, known for connecting local businesses with engaged couples and providing voluntary coaching. They have led a networking group for wedding professionals for 17 years, emphasizing the importance of supporting local businesses and alleviating stress for engaged couples.
While facing competition from national platforms like The Knot and Wedding Wire, Devoted to Details LLC differentiates itself by focusing on local expertise with additional services such as wedding shows, networking groups, and resale options. The requested funding aims to ease financial pressure and facilitate growth into new markets, ultimately strengthening local wedding industries.

Funding Usage
After paying $40,000 towards the EIDL last year I still owe the same amount and I am now working from home to save money. I cut down a lot of my staff but I am in fear that I am never going to get ahead with a loan like this over my head. I am 55 years old and I have owned my business for 22 years and I would love to put in at least 10 more years but I am currently struggling financially.

Business Plan
I am adding on to my business and would like to license my directory across the US and help other wedding planners add a revenue stream to their current business and coach in wedding planning. During COVID in order to keep income coming in I decided to start another business and it is a Mobile Bar Rental Business with Bartending Services. I have worked so hard in our wedding community in Columbus Ohio. I am known as the connector, helping other businesses grow by connecting them to engaged couples. I also help coach business for free, and have ran a local networking group of wedding professionals for about 17 years. We help engaged couples with one of the most important day of their lives and it is an extremely stressful job. I am an extremely hard worker and I am truly passionate about the wedding industry and believe in keeping business local. This money would relive some of the added stress about financials and help me grow my businesses into other cities to strengthen their local communities in the wedding industry as well.

Self Identified Competition
No one really does everything I do but on a national level it would be The Knot, Wedding Wire, Zola. and sites like that. In addition to a wedding directory like our competitors we run our business locally by local wedding professionals who know their town best. In addition we add wedding shows, networking groups, wedding planning, wedding resale, and wedding facebook groups.
