Business Plan
MOMO Personal Training plans to grow by hiring multiple employees. This will allow us to provide job opportunities and help people earn an income doing something that directing helps others. We also look forward to opening up another facility in the underserved part of Tucson, AZ. The founder knows first hand the struggles of being part of the underserved community and the value we can bring into that community; giving them tools to become healthier physically and mentally, too uplift, and empower. My name is Monina Hauser. I have worked in the medical field, been an executive producer for a non profit, coached high school cross country and track, but the last 8 years of my life I have been a group class instructor and trained people one on one. I have worked over 9,000 hours helping individuals achieve their fitness goals. I recently got hired to film a ten part video series for an app on healing trauma survivors through reconnecting with your body and I hope that helps a lot of people in their healing journey. I am a wife to an awesome husband, mother to two beautiful kids, sister, coach, friend, hugger, survivor, and fighter. I am truly a fan of human improvement. I love watching people play sports not because of the thrill of the game but because I feel the struggle, the drive, and the sacrifice. That's why I have decided to devote my life to training others. Watching the stay at home parent gain confidence through lifting, the doctor gain patience through a grueling workout, and the preteen getting over some of that awkwardness as they find control over their bodies. My teammates growing up were always coming to me for advice. This is when I developed leadership and my love for coaching. I never had talent in sports but I always gave my best. Shortly after sports stopped I went through a trial against my abuser. I gained a huge amount of weight and lost myself in the process. I went back to the lessons learned from sports and applied them to the gym. I lost 117 lbs . I grew up on the south side of town where most of my friends' families struggled financially and owning your own business was not even thought of as a possibility. High school teachers did not push us to go to college but talked more about trades and working in the service industry. My home life was really ruff, we went through physical, mental, and sexual abuse. Both parents did jail time and were addicts. My two siblings were my quiet heroes growing up, the shared suffering, the unwavering support and the endless encouragement to get through another day. From my siblings is where I learned how to uplift others. I recently met a young lady who was a survivor of sexual abuse. I had the honor to watch her work through anger, shame, guilt, gain confidence, and strength. The real beauty is that the same principles can be applied to anyone. Yes I have accreditations but it was really all of these struggles in my life that was my teacher. My training philosophy is simple and real, no gimmicks. I do this by meeting people where they are. Walking alongside them and pulling out what is deep within to achieve their best. After my father in law passed away in november. I was hit with the reality that nothing is guaranteed and if my husband were to get injured our family could not survive on my income. I was working full time and I could not even afford a 2 bedroom apartment. I was taking home about 25% of what the clients were paying and told I hit the ceiling of pay. I loved my job and clients but my labor of love should at least be a livable wage. Noticing that my kindness all these years was being mistaken for weakness and after years of self improvement I finally know my worth. I decided to step away and my vision is to create my own facility giving my clients a full service session, focusing on tailor made fitness solutions that go beyond exercise. Offering personal training, nutrition, prehab and rehab, sport recovery therapy, and more. I am passionate about offering jobs to others particularly women and paying more than a livable wage. My goal is after 6 months hiring my first employee and starting them off with a 50% cut and increasing that over time. After crunching the numbers I am so excited that I will still be profitable after doing this. My vision is that if I pour into my employees and treat them right they will be empowered to help more people. Which in turn will benefit the community of Tucson; producing healthier, stronger, energized, empowered and un-stopple citizens. I believe that fitness is more than just a workout but a catalyst for positive change.
