Educational Steps | Application Preview
Educational Steps is seeking government grants to establish a preschool, focusing on the crucial early years of child development. The funds will be allocated to acquire a building, cover utility costs, furnish classrooms and offices, supply computers for educators and students, and purchase a comprehensive curriculum along with necessary materials.
The business plan begins with an online preschool model, transitioning to a physical location that will offer both full-day and half-day preschool services to better accommodate parents. As the program grows through advertising and word of mouth, it aims to become a well-known preschool in the community. Additionally, Educational Steps will provide training classes and workshops for parents, emphasizing support for both children and their families.
The founder brings 22 years of educational experience, having taught in the U.S. and the Middle East, and is passionate about addressing educational gaps from an early stage. This background informs the belief that early intervention and educational services are vital for children's success.
In terms of competition, established preschools are the primary rivals. However, Educational Steps distinguishes itself by offering not only child education but also parental support through workshops. A key focus will be on children with developmental delays, providing a collaborative environment for therapists and early interventionists to assist with developmental goals.

Business Plan
Educational Steps will start small as an online pre-school. Once a location is established then Educational Steps will transfer to a local pre-school which will be able to offer full day and half day pre-school services to support the parents needs and will be allowed to offer more classes. Through advertisement and word of mouth Educational Steps will grow to be the pre-school around. Not only would Educational Steps cater to the children but it will also cater to the parents by providing parent training classes/workshops. I am an eductor of 22 years. I have taught in the US and in the Middle East. In my 22 years I have worked with students from all walks of life and backgrounds. I have learned that the pre-school years are the most important years of a child's development. I want to take my teaching experiences and expand it to reaching those children early on and provide those early intervention services that they may need to get them well prepared for school. I see this as me not only giving back but also doing my part to help fill in those educational gaps that so many of our children are lacking.

Self Identified Competition
My top 3 competitors would be any pre-school that has already been established. Educational Steps is different because not only would it provide for the children but it will also provide for the parents. Just like we will be there to educate the children, we will also educate our parents. Educational Steps will provided educational workshops/classes to parents as well. One main focus of Educational Steps will be to focus on those students that have been identified of having some sort of developmental delays. Educational Steps will be a place that therapist and early interventionist can come and work with those childrens on their developmental goals.
