avalon progressive care | Application Preview
Avalon Progressive Care is applying for government grants to enhance their facility and provide better healthcare services to their employees. The business aims to implement Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment specifically for Veterans within the next two years, in collaboration with the VA. This initiative is expected to create more job opportunities in Asotin County, which struggles with high unemployment and substance abuse rates.
The organization has been operating in elderly care for 38 years, demonstrating a strong track record in the industry. Their current staffing level is six employees, and they seek to expand this number. Due to the challenges posed by COVID-19, they were unable to make necessary improvements and focused primarily on maintaining health and safety.
Avalon faces limited competition, with only one nursing home, one assisted living center, and three adult family homes in the area, none of which provide the same specialized services. Their competitive edge is underscored by their unique provision of a dementia lockdown unit, catering to residents with severe needs, including those in the final stages of Alzheimer's disease. They also offer comprehensive end-of-life care that includes hospice and palliative services, filling a critical gap in the local healthcare landscape.

Business Plan
In the next 2 yrs, I plan to provide Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment in a facility setting to Veteran through the VA. I will be hiring more employees. This will offer more employment to our small rural community. Asotin County is the smallest county in the state of Washington with a high unemployment rate and a high substance abuse rate. We have been in the Elderly Care Business for 38yrs. We provide excellent care in needed industry for elderly care and MH care. We are currently in an area that is lacking the resources and the businesses that provide care. We employee 6 people and would like to increase the number of employees. Through Covid we didn't not have the ability to make needed improvement. All our energy was directed at keeping people health and un-infected.
