Time To Learn & Grow Academy LLC. 259900 | Government Grant Application

Time To Learn & Grow Academy LLC. | Application Preview

Time To Learn & Grow Academy LLC is seeking government grants to expand its operations from a family childcare home into a full-fledged childcare center. The funds will be utilized for supplies, inventory, marketing, payroll, and necessary renovations. The business aims to hire a team that includes directors, teachers, aides, and volunteers, as well as to introduce preschool or Head Start programs.

The significance of this funding is underscored by the current lack of adequate childcare options in the community, as existing facilities are at capacity or do not cater to the needs of infants. The recent permanent closure of a local daycare has further increased the urgency for accessible childcare, leaving many parents in need. As the area undergoes development with new homes being built, the anticipated population growth presents an opportunity for a new daycare center to meet this demand.

In terms of competition, local daycares are either unable to accommodate more children or do not provide infant care, creating a gap in services. Time To Learn & Grow can currently accept a limited number of infants, but an expansion would allow for many more.

The competitive edge of the academy lies in its founder's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication as a single mother. Operating within a home allows for a more personalized approach to childcare, which appeals to many parents. Unlike larger daycare facilities, the program is designed to offer individual attention, particularly vital for families with infants. This unique positioning can help the business effectively fill the gap in childcare services in the community.

  • Business Plan

I plan to expand from a family childcare home into a childcare center. I also plan to hire a staff such as Directors, Teachers, Aides and Volunteers. I would like to add a preschool and or head start program. There is a need in my community for childcare. The demand for childcare is not meeting the needs of parents and families who need childcare. The daycares in the area are already at capacity and or they do not accept infants and old accept toddlers. Also, a daycare in close proximity has just announced they are closing permanently, and the parents are scrambling to find a new childcare program. In my development they are building new homes, and the population is going to continue to grow larger, I could use the funds to invest in a daycare center so that I can provide a safe and educational place for our children and families.

  • Self Identified Competition

Tots for Landing 201 E. Cecil Ave, Elkton, MD 21901- At capacity can no longer accept children. There licensed capacity is 41 kids. Jesus Loves Me Childcare 206 Mechanics Valley Road, Northeast, MD 21901- Does not accept infants only toddlers. Parents are need of infant care. My program can take only two infants but if could get the money to expand into a center I can have more. Reach For the Stars - 731 W. Pulaski Highway - Daycare is closing permanently with a licensed capacity of 80 children. Parents are now scrambling for care because of the day care permanently closing in my area. This could be a business opportunity for me to expand into a center from a family childcare home and get the kids who now have to leave this daycare into my daycare program. I am an entrepreneur, and I started my family childcare from the ground up. I worked hard to be my own boss and I am a single mother with one school aged son. My daycare is inside of a home which some parents prefer instead of a daycare center. My program can give more one-on-one attention than a large daycare facility. I also accept infants and some of my competitors do not.
