    As a new veteran owned business in 2024 I would be humbled by the opportunity to really make my brand known. If I were awarded the grant I would use the funds to purchase a used truck; no more than $50,000 dollars. That would save me exponentially on the wear-and-tear of my personal vehicle, which is also the only vehicle my household currently has. Having a truck solely meant for business related work would allow me the freedom to go to job sites when required, and the ability to haul whatever equipment necessary to complete it. The funds would aid me in getting both my truck and trailer wrapped in my business logo to give me an added opportunity of marketing. I would also go and receive further trade education at the Heavy Construction Academy located in New Hampshire. Attending this month long course would certify me in heavy equipment machinery totaling $20,000. The remaining $30,000 I would utilize on buying an excavator and trailer, with which to haul it with, and register and permit it to drive in the state of Rhode Island. The purchase of the items listed above would catapult my business exponentially and allow me an accelerated opportunity to get my business established in the community.     Executive Summary: I am a Contractor, and my overarching business goal is to break into the residential building and remodeling industry, and then move into the commercial building industry within the New England states. Business Description: Currently operating in the State of Rhode Island with plans to expand into all New England states. Management Team: I am the business manager. Products and Services: We are able to build full residential properties; additions and remodels. We can also provide plans (blueprints), as well as 3D renderings. SWOT Analysis: Strengths: We have 10+ years of experience in the residential building industry; inhouse architect to build certified plans; inhouse 3D Rendering Agent Weaknesses: We need surveying licenses and equipment to be able to offer property surveys, as well as excavation equipment that would allow for project expediency. Opportunities: Leverage new Veteran Owned business status by a local minority, to expand contact and reach new customers. Saturate the building market in the state of Rhode Island and neighboring New England states. Capitalize on 10+ years of experience that gives me the ability to deliver timely and quality projects. Threats: Need to get into the market aggressively and quickly to establish myself as a household name within the first two years, which would give the business the ability to expand across the remaining New England states and transition to into Commercial properties. We also need the necessary equipment and certifications to provide the services we intend to offer within our standard of work. Target Audience: Any new or current home or landowner. Who else has the proven ability to demonstrate time management, delegation of work, execution, and attention to detail better than a United Stated Army Soldier? I am a combat veteran with more than 17 years of service to our nation, and a total of three combat tours under my belt. Why is that important to note? The skills acquired throughout my military career are lifelong skills that have equal impacts, if not greater, as I have applied them to my newly formed business. The standards that I embody and have refined throughout my career are standards that have merged into my business practices for delivery of a well packaged product. The skills that I have enhanced and utilized are as follows: • How and when to read an audience and the appropriate timing of when to pivot, which allows me to quickly build rapport, work with clients to develop a plan of action that works in their timeline and budget. • I have a tenacity and motivation that is unmatched, which translates to the execution of a project and being able to navigate complex high stress that is unique to the building industry. • I will work tirelessly to manage and ensure the success of my business, and create the generational wealth I seek to gain for both my family and those that I will go on to hire into my organization.
