  • Business Plan

I intend to develop networking relationships with the Ohio Public Defender's Office, Federal Public Defender's Office, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Alliance of Sentencing Advocates and Mitigation Specialists, Ohio Bar Association Defense Commission, American Bar Association Death Penalty Representation Project, and Ohio Supreme Court Commission on Appointment of Counsel in Capital Cases. The best way to be selected for cases is to be known in the practice area. I need to be visible and present. Conducting CLEs at conferences, interacting with death penalty certified attorneys, and bar associations, on distribution lists provided by courts and bar associations. That only happens by frequent and constant networking. I believe that Mitigation work is a calling. It is an essential component to capital punishment litigation. A person is not only the worst possible thing they have ever done. It is essential for a jury to know the whole person, a holistic picture of the life that through that individual to the point of committing the most heinous crime. Through strategic litigation, mitigation, and policy reform, we strive to create a more humane and equitable society. This can be done one case at a time, and I am a leader in my field. I can accomplish this important work, with a financial investment in me.

  • Self Identified Competition
