McMullen Basketball LLC 871513475 | Government Grant Application

McMullen Basketball LLC | Application Preview

McMullen Basketball LLC is seeking government grants to enhance its services for youth and low-income families passionate about basketball. The funding would be used for various initiatives, including:

- Providing free private and semi-private lessons for low-income families. - Organizing free youth camps for larger group training. - Increasing payments for private loan repayment to facilitate reinvestment into the business. - Supporting an internship program for students interested in sports training and marketing. - Sponsoring a youth basketball team, covering coaching, gym rental, jerseys, and tournament fees. - Hiring a wellness professional to focus on injury prevention and body management.

The business plan outlines goals for the next five years, aiming to partner with 5 to 10 middle and high schools as the exclusive trainer for their basketball teams. Currently training 40 to 50 kids per week, McMullen Basketball LLC has the capacity to train up to 75 with the right resources and partnerships. Currently, the business does not offer large camps due to limitations in marketing and staff.

The application emphasizes the applicant's 20 years of experience in coaching and training youth, highlighting a successful three-year operation of a private facility. The unique offering includes an unparalleled level of detail and expertise that distinguishes McMullen Basketball LLC from competitors. Unlike local competitors who lack a private gym and business acumen, the applicant possesses both, which enhances the training experience.

In summary, the funding would enable the expansion of high-quality basketball instruction to benefit multiple generations while strengthening the community.

  • Business Plan

In the next five years, I plan to partner with 5-10 middle and/or high schools to be the exclusive trainer for their girls and boys basketball teams. I currently train 40-50 kids per week. I have the capacity to train up to 75. This is attainable with the right resources and partnerships, such as interns, the ability to offer free training, and additional equipment. I currently do not offer any large camps, due to limited resources for marketing, staff support, and the ability to offer free spots to support low income families. I have been involved in coaching and training youth of all skillsets for nearly 20 years. I recently took the very large leap to opening my own facility 3 years ago, when it was suggested by many that it would be unsustainable. I have been able to sustain the facility for 3 years simply by offering private/semi-private training alone. The feedback from all families is that no one in the industry in my area provides the intense level of detail, communication, and expertise in skill enhancement better than me. As a business professional and former collegiate athlete, I have a stellar reputation for connecting with both the players and the parents. I am able to translate the importance of how hardwork, details, and leadership not only will improve your opportunity to play basketball at a high level, but how it is critical to being successful in life after sports. If awarded, these funds would allow me to expand this premier level of instruction to multiple generations and have a lasting effect.

  • Self Identified Competition

My top 3 competitors are reputable trainers in the area, but they do have the capacity that I have as they do not own a private gym. My competitors do not have a business professional background, nor do they have full-time access to a private gym for training.
