  • Business Plan

I am currently enrolled in graduate school at Troy University in the Mental Health Counseling program. The goal is to create an opportunity for those facing challenges to better themselves through Life skills class and Counseling. I think that we should be awarded this grant off of our proven track record. we have been in business as a nonprofit organization since June of 2022. We started out with five thousand pounds of product and has steadily over a two-year period increased. We started with one food distribution in West Pensacola, but our goal was always to do two distributions a month. December of 2023, we started our 2nd food distribution in the Mayfair community, and it has been well accepted by that community. The two food drives are similar but different at the same time. The Wesst Pensacola drive is a drive through, but the Mayfair is a walk up. each family not only gets food to sustain them for a week, but we also give out hot food as well as other resources such as Vocational Rehabilitaion and the local Fire Station signs families up to ensure their home are fireproof.

  • Self Identified Competition

I don't really see them as, but as mentors. Pensacola caring Hearts whom we have reached out to on several occasions to help with great success. Harvest Community outreach is another entity that is doing great work and Pensacola Dream Center whom we have partnered with on many joint ventures. All these organizations have been in place and established for years, which gives them the advantage over us, but if you could compare numbers, we are right there with them. I was once one of the people I serve. I have been that homeless vet trying to find my next meal or someone to talk with. I have stood in the long lines only to be told no. I was trained to serve and that's what I live for. The service of my country just in a different way.
