Cole Creative Co | Application Preview
Cole Creative Co. is seeking government grants to establish a studio/storefront in Royston, Georgia. The business aims to provide a range of photography services, including portrait, newborn, and fine art photography. Additionally, it plans to offer marketing and digital services for local small businesses and host painting classes in the evenings for individuals and families, creating a safe and enjoyable community space.
In light of recent reports labeling Royston as the poorest city in Georgia, the owner, who has lived and raised a family in the area for the past three years, is driven by a desire to enhance the community’s potential. Despite existing financial challenges, the owner believes that Royston has a strong community spirit and can thrive again. The required funding will help cover the startup costs, as the owner already possesses most of the necessary equipment.
The proposal identifies competition from other local studios, such as Tugaloo Station, Dream Chaser Productions, and Bianca Hubble Photography. However, the business claims a competitive edge through a distinctive photography style and the introduction of new activities, such as painting classes, which would cater to local college students and families.
With a background in small business management and extensive work experience, the owner expresses a strong commitment to fostering happiness and community spirit through this venture.

Business Plan
I would like to offer photography in a studio setting, this would include portrait, newborn, and fine art photography. I would also like to add marketing and digital services to other local small businesses. Additionally I would like to offer painting classes at night time for young people and families to enjoy. This would provide a safe and fun place for the community. Recently the Atlanta Journal published an article that Royston was the poorest city in Georgia. I find this devastating, as I've raised my family here for the past 3 years. I think this town has more than enough potential to be better. What Royston lacks in financial gain, they make up for it in heart. By opening my business I could breath life back into a town and people who have been forgotten. I have all the main equipment needed to start this business. The only think lacking is the cash to open the doors.

Self Identified Competition
Tugaloo Station, is a painting studio in Toccoa, they offer painting classes throughout the week and gross about $1400 a week by my calculations. Dream Chaser Productions, is a photography studio in Royston, they offer photography in a studio setting with props and backdrops. Bianca Hubble Photography in Toccoa, is a photography studio based on maternity and newborn. I believe I offer a unique style of photography unlike any of the others in my area. If I were able to open my studio and offer the paint classes this would bring an exciting new activity to our community that the college students at Emmanuel, and families could enjoy together and not have to drive far away. I'm a recent graduate of Northeast Georgia Technical College, in small business management. I have worked since I was 13, I believe anything is possible with hard work. If I were given the chance I would do everything possible to bring happiness and joy to my community.
