DOING BETTER THAN EXCELLENCE, LLC | Application Preview
DOING BETTER THAN EXCELLENCE, LLC is seeking government grants to support their mission of providing vital services for survivors of domestic violence and the homeless. The funding would be utilized for acquiring a building that will serve multiple purposes, including housing, training programs, and storage for necessary supplies.
The business has outlined a five-year growth plan to purchase and renovate a complex that will accommodate survivors and individuals in need, along with classrooms dedicated to education and skill development. The founder's personal history as a survivor of domestic violence and homelessness is highlighted as a key motivator for the initiative, emphasizing the meaningful impact it aims to create.
The application addresses competition from established organizations such as Catholic Charities and the Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center. While these organizations provide essential services, DOING BETTER THAN EXCELLENCE differentiates itself by not only addressing immediate needs but also focusing on long-term support through training programs and permanent housing options. The emphasis on personal experience and a holistic approach to support is presented as the company's unique competitive advantage.

Business Plan
Our five-year growth plan is to purchase and renovate a complex that will house the survivors of domestic violence and destitute people. It will also have classrooms for training and development. Investors should invest in me, not because of the project but because of the impact that I am creating. The reason that we created this business is because of our life experiences. I am a survivor of domestic violence and homelessness.

Self Identified Competition
Our top 3 competitors are Catholic Charities, Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center, and NE Ohio Coalition For Homeless. Each of them does a portion of what we are trying to accomplish, but not fully. What makes us different is the personal experiences, how we are funded, and why we do what we do. What we do is take what they do and amplify it by adding training and full time versus temporary housing.
