All Shades Arts 604585702 | Government Grant Application

All Shades Arts | Application Preview

All Shades Arts is seeking government grants to purchase a building and essential equipment for a combined donut and coffee shop, along with space for arts and crafts retail and event coordination. The aim is to fill a gap in the local market, as there is currently no donut shop in the community. The shop will operate six days a week during the mornings and early afternoons, while the event space will be utilized in the evenings for various activities.

The business plans to sell arts and crafts inventory both in a physical store and online, as well as participate in local fairs and events. Additionally, weekly craft and sip events will be held during the evenings, and the event space will be available for rent, providing multiple revenue streams even when the donut shop is closed.

The application highlights the unique aspects of their business model, which allows them to maximize the use of the same space for various income sources. The owners bring relevant experience, with a background in catering and culinary skills as well as accounting expertise to manage the budget effectively.

Competitors in the area, such as Dawn’s Delectables and others, primarily focus on baked goods like cookies and cupcakes. In contrast, All Shades Arts will specialize in breakfast items like donuts and scones, offering dine-in options, potential delivery services, and an app for convenient ordering. This focus positions them well to attract customers and establish a strong presence in the local market.

  • Business Plan

There is not a donut shop in our community, and it is a service that will be well received. The donut and coffee shop will run six days a week in the mornings and early afternoon. The space will be used in the evenings by our event coordinating activities. There are plans on expanding to open other restaurants that specialize in and serve different types of food. We will build inventory for arts and crafts retail to sell in brick and mortar and online shop as well as being a vendor at fairs, pow wows, etc. We will have weekly craft and sip events in the evenings and rent out our event space for other types of events to bring revenue in while donut shop is closed. Our business plan will utilize the same space for multiple income sources. We have catered tribal events frequently over the last few years, and my husband has over 10 years experience as a cook. We have discussed and been planning a restaurant opening for many years and are ready to put our plans into action. I am an accountant by trade and will keep a tight budget and continuously update projections as we confirm expense amounts.

  • Self Identified Competition

Dawn’s Delectables, Franz Bakery, Lucky n Lawless Bakery Our competitors focus on cookies, cupcakes, sandwiches, and other food items. Only one has dine in options, and one is a retail store. We will focus on donuts, scones, muffins, and other breakfast baked goods, as well as coffee. We will have dine in, plan on possibly having delivery service, and want to have an app set up for people to order and get curb side service, if we do not have a drive through window.
