Senior Companion Cares | Application Preview
Senior Companion Cares is seeking government grants to secure a commercial property, reactivate the nonprofit, cover volunteer expenses, and manage daily operations. The goal is to operate safely post-COVID without risk of closure.
The business plan outlines an ambition to expand services beyond the current community, aiming to assist hundreds of thousands of individuals statewide within the next five years, with potential growth into neighboring states.
Funding approval is justified by the founder's strong commitment to making a positive impact. Senior Companion Cares operates alongside a for-profit sister company, which caters to clients who can pay. Those unable to afford standard rates are transitioned to the nonprofit, where services may be provided at no cost. The organization strives to support vulnerable senior citizens while verifying clients' financial situations to ensure genuine need.
In terms of competition, local rivals include Visiting Angels, Seniors Helping Seniors, and Interim Healthcare. However, Senior Companion Cares stands out by offering its services at significantly lower prices and is uniquely positioned in its area, where competitors do not operate. The nonprofit's commitment to affordability and accessibility, particularly for low-income families, reinforces its competitive advantage, emphasizing the importance of these services for seniors' well-being.

Business Plan
I intend to expand beyond just the community i live in. I want to make Senior Companion services available to hundreds of thousands of people regardless of income. In the next 5 years, I hope to have offices across the state. I also hope to start the process of having offices in nearby states as well. I'm a very driven individual motivated to make a change for the better in the world today. Senior Companion cares has a for profit sister company that does charge clients who have the funds available. All clients start with an interview process where the potential client's budget is also discussed. I assess if they need services at a lower cost. In the event they cannot afford the regular rates, their file would then transfer to Senior Companion Cares. We would then discuss their options and, if need be, offer our services at absolutely no cost to the client. No one is ever turned away at Senior Companion. We will do everything in our power to ensure we can help one of the most vulnerable groups of people, senior citizens. There is a process set in place to verify the potential client's income and budget as a precautionary measure. You should invest in Senior Companion because it is a needed service for the elderly.

Self Identified Competition
Visiting Angels, Seniors helping seniors, and interim Healthcare are the top 3 competitors in my state. However, they do not provide services where my nonprofit, Senior Companion cares, is located. The Senior Companion services are not available in this area. In addition to that, those competitors charge extremely high prices for the same service I provide at half the cost. I charge half the costs they do. I also have a process (as described above) in place for any potential client who needs but cannot afford out services at their original cost. I vow to never turn a potential client away over money. In some instances, Senior Companion services can be vital to the elderly loved ones health. I would be the only company in my state offering these services at the price I am, with the ability to assist low income families, and the only one servicing my area.
