SHEEPDOG INTERNATIONAL LLCS 461689748 | Government Grant Application

SHEEPDOG INTERNATIONAL LLCS | Application Preview

SHEEPDOG INTERNATIONAL LLC is seeking government grants to enhance their private security services. The funds will be used to pay off existing business debts, purchase essential security officer equipment, and fund specialized training for employees.

The business plans to expand its private security offerings, building on the progress made in their investigations division over the past year. As a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, SHEEPDOG emphasizes its commitment to integrity and professionalism, highlighting its roots in local communities and its focus on hiring veterans and first responders. The owner has invested personally in the business since its inception in 2012 and has navigated economic challenges to maintain operations.

In terms of competition, SHEEPDOG identifies Aardwolf International, Allied, and Paragon as key rivals. Aardwolf is known for its established reputation in private security, while Allied operates as a large company that outsources much of its work. Paragon holds a significant federal contract but is based in Canada. SHEEPDOG believes that with the requested funding, it can outperform these competitors by training its staff and securing contracts directly, using experienced professionals from military and law enforcement backgrounds.

The company’s competitive edge lies in its commitment to quality service, directly employing highly-skilled security personnel rather than subcontracting work, which is a common practice among its competition. SHEEPDOG aims to provide superior service while keeping security operations within the local and veteran community.

  • Business Plan

I am in the process of expanding the private security part of the business. I have been slowly expanding the investigations part of the past year. Integrity, professionalism, we are local, we are a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. I started this business in 2012 out of my own pocket and have continued to persevere through tough economic times to keep moving forward. We employ locals. We employ veterans and first responders. I have spent my entire adult life in service.

  • Self Identified Competition

Aardwolf International - based in Greensboro. They typically get the first call for private security. I think I can pass them with the funds to train and expand our security division. Allied - They are a "big box" security company. The subcontract everything, sometimes to us. I would like to cut out the middle men. Paragon - the are based in Canada. They have the local federal PSO contract for federal properties. I think we can grow to overcome them and keep American security in America. We are local and our experience is in US military, law enforcement, and private security. The competition typically bids to get contracts and then subs it out, not performing the work, but getting a large cut of the pay. We look to secure the contracts, then fulfill the contracts with Sheepdog International security professionals. I hire security professionals with US military experience, law enforcement experience, or both. Our competitors pay incredibly low salaries and hire folks with little to no experience. They may be working at Taco Bell today and security tomorrow. Our professional security personnel are former US military and law enforcement.
