Wardog Gaming LLC 85-0956715 | Government Grant Application

Wardog Gaming LLC | Application Preview

Wardog Gaming LLC is seeking government grants to fund the launch and operation of a game development studio for up to five years. The primary allocation of funds will be for marketing and salaries, while the remaining budget will cover equipment, software, furniture, rent, and utilities.

The business strategy involves expanding the staff as revenue grows, enabling the team to develop and release two separate games each year. Eventually, Wardog plans to establish two mobile design teams and one major platform design team, promoting a diverse revenue stream through multi-platform releases. Additionally, the mobile team may venture into app development for further revenue opportunities.

The company emphasizes a commitment to public engagement, allowing fans to influence game elements such as enemy names and music, ensuring that the games resonate with their audience. Wardog prioritizes delivering polished products, taking a stance against incomplete releases, as exemplified by Cyberpunk 2077.

Wardog recognizes a highly competitive landscape with numerous game developers, particularly within mobile gaming, where major players include Activision Blizzard, Tencent, and Sony. To differentiate itself, Wardog highlights its strategic marketing approach and careful planning, avoiding the financial pitfalls that often trap indie developers. The studio intends to monitor market trends to align their game development with popular genres, drawing from a substantial pool of over 150 project titles planned for the future, reflecting a long-term vision in contrast to the more common short-sighted focus of new developers.

The funding will go to start & operate my game development studio for up to 5 years. The two largest expenses of this money will be from marketing costs & salaries. The rest will go to equipment, software, furniture, rent, utilities, etc.

  • Business Plan

As our revenue increases, we will gradually hire more staff members until we have enough staff to work on two separate games at once. This will greatly increase our yearly earnings as we will be releasing two new games per year. Eventually, we plan to have two mobile design teams & one major platform design team. We will be releasing on all platforms from some games to increase the number of revenue streams. Our mobile team will also, if possible, release normal Apps to the mobile marketplace to add extra streams of revenue when a great idea comes up in discussion. Our company will pride ourselves in having a large public input in future titles. They will vote on enemy names, music, etc. We will always touch base with our fans to ensure they are getting the game they deserve. We will also ensure that the game is polished before release. We are tired of developers releasing bugged trash to the market. Cyberpunk 2077 is a prime example. Big studio making the colossal mistake of releasing an unfinished game. We will release when it is ready & not before. Our fans will stick with us & love this main fact about us. General discussion with public gamers have been nothing but positive in regards to the types of game we want to make & the unique features they will have. They are all impatiently waiting on our first releases.

  • Self Identified Competition

There are hundreds if not thousands of game developers. Most Indie Game Studios fail within 10 years. This is due to them having either no marketing plan or most often no budget for one. The games that are in the top 3 slots vary based on game type. The top 3 competitors overall in Mobile Gaming are: 1) Activision Blizzard (USA) 2) Tencent (China) 3) Sony (Japan) I'm going into this business with a sound & proven marketing strategy. We will not start making the games until we have proper funding to start growing our audience's interest & pay for the necessary marketing. Too many Indie Developers mortgage their homes to fund their games & fail. These companies failed to plan. We are planning extensively before starting. The type of game we will make first will be determined by the hot game type of the last quarter. If it was Match 3, Puzzle, Top-Down Shooter, etc; this will allow us to create one of our 20+ mobile titles in the most popular format type of the day. We have a total of 150 project titles we plan to create over the next few decades. Most developers have only their first game in mind. We are thinking long-term not just short-term.
