Electric Ghost Screen Printing LLC | Application Preview
Electric Ghost Screen Printing LLC is seeking government grants to navigate the financial strain caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The business reported a staggering 42.9% loss in sales in 2020 and anticipates further revenue challenges this year. They rely heavily on their service to essential clients such as hospitals and restaurants, and grant funding would help maintain operations and keep their workforce employed during these difficult times.
Founded in 2009 from a modest apartment, Electric Ghost has evolved into a mid to large-scale production company serving Central Arkansas and several national accounts. The company aims to grow over the next five years by expanding its printing processes, enabling them to cater to a broader customer base.
The business prides itself on its local roots and community engagement, providing educational tours for students and creating job opportunities that contribute to the local economy. They emphasize a collaborative spirit within the local screen printing industry, working alongside competitors rather than against them, which enhances their unique customer relationships.
Electric Ghost is committed to fairness in funding distribution, suggesting that if competitive circumstances arise, any awarded funding should be shared equally among local businesses to support the community as a whole.

Funding Usage
We operated at a 42.9% loss in sales in 2020 (239% net sales loss) due to Covid-19. We are starting to see our numbers picking back up but are forecasting another large decrease in funds this year, due to the pandemic. A large number of the businesses that we serve are essential businesses that depend on our products to operate. We print for hospitals, state agencies, restaurants and many more. We would use the funds to stay afloat during these slower times in revenue to keep our employees employed and to maintain our dependability that our customers have grown to expect in our 12 years in business.

Business Plan
I started this company out of my apartment in 2009. With a lot of hard work and community support, I have been able to grow the business into a mid/large scale production company that services Central Arkansas and several national accounts. We are on track to continue growing the business over the next 5 years. Our plans include the addition of new print processes that will help us to serve a larger range of customers (local and non-local). We are a local business that has depended on the support of this amazing community and in turn have given back to the community by allowing schools and local businesses to tour our facility on field trips that have been received very well by the facilitators of those tours. We are helping by showing students how they might apply their knowledge and talents to real life business situations. As we continue to grow, we will continue to work with the community with job opportunities and resources that can help with the arts and business of our district here on Main St. in downtown Little Rock.

Self Identified Competition
We honestly do not have any competitors in our community or region. There are other screen printing companies in the area but we work together with them on many of our projects and have even printed their overflow jobs. There is plenty of business to go around for other aspiring businesses but we pride ourselves on the direct to customer based relationships that we have and see ourselves as unique to any other models in the area. We wouldn't want to take the opportunity from any other businesses who might have a need for funding. We believe that every business in the area, even the ones that happen to offer similar services as ours deserves to receive any funding that might be available or rewarded to them. If there was a scenario that forced a choice between awarding my business vs. another local business, I would propose that the funds be divided equally to us, both.
