WaterWorld Services | Application Preview
WaterWorld Services is seeking a $25,000 government grant to enhance its operations. The funding will be used to purchase essential equipment, including a spa trailer and various tools like a spa wedge and storage cart, as well as a work vehicle designed for efficient parts storage.
The business currently markets itself through Facebook, handling inquiries and setting appointments. Plans for growth include investing in customer acquisition, hiring staff, and expanding product sales online across multiple platforms.
In light of changes brought by COVID, more individuals are opting to bring amenities like hot tubs into their homes for comfort and entertainment. Starting with just 3 customers in January 2024, WaterWorld Services has grown to over 30 customers, providing a non-contact service that prioritizes safety.
The business stands out in a market with no other independent technicians servicing all makes and models of hot tubs, mainly due to industry retirements and a lack of interest in this field. Additionally, local pool and hot tub retailers do not offer 24/7 service. WaterWorld Services prides itself on its exceptional customer service, which has resulted in strong word-of-mouth referrals and positive reviews, giving it a significant competitive advantage.

Business Plan
Currently, I utilize Facebook as a platform to advertise, answer questions and set up appointments. I would like to invest in customer acquisition, hire employees and sell products online across multiple platforms. The world changed after COVID. More people have opted to bring amenities home to provide comfort, certainties and entertainment at their leisure. In January 2024, I had 3 customers to start. To date, I have acquired 30+ customers. By providing a non-contact service, I am able to keep myself and customers safe.

Self Identified Competition
There are currently no other technicians that work independently on all makes and models. This is mostly due to retirement and no interest in this service field anymore. Also most pool/hot tub retailers do not provide round the clock service calls. I am the only one around providing the services that I do. I provide excellent customer service in this industry and it's my customers that are helping my business grow through word of mouth and 5 star reviews.
