  • Funding Usage

We were thrilled to secure a $250K grant from the state for renovating our leased preschool building. However, the grant arrived a year later and by that time, our business was struggling, leading us to redirect the funds to payroll. Despite our hopes of a turnaround, many families faced job losses and our enrollment continued to decline. We had to support our dedicated teachers to keep serving our little ones. This funding will enable us to reimburse the grant and we also obtained additional loans for payroll and business needs. Even if we receive less than our requested amount, we will be incredibly grateful. We deeply desire for a return to normalcy, settling debts, and delivering a vital service to the schools we get to service.

  • Business Plan

Due to shifts in the child care industry and significant losses incurred, we have decided to pivot our approach. Our focus now is on expanding our range of child care programs, aiming to address a critical gap in the market. By providing comprehensive administrative and management support to owners and directors, we strive to meet the industry's growing demands. At present, we cater to two schools, with a target to extend our services to ten by the end of this year. It brings us much joy to offer quality care to infants and preschoolers. Even though we had to shut down our own school and took a huge hit financially, we still see the need to pivot and provide a service in this industry. Many infant and preschool programs closed after the pandemic, much of it was due to stress on the owners and all the hats they have to wear. Our service provides an essential need to an essential industry. We are highly invested in what we do, working closely with our owners, their employees (our teams), and building communities of parents and children. Our owners are now dependent on us, allowing them and their employees to have a healthy work-life balance and all the families and their children can feel cared for in a huge way. If our team of directors and teachers are happy, it will impact the next generation of children and the cycle will continue. We don't want to file for bankruptcy and we want to continue to build this essential service but we deeply need financial assistance.

  • Self Identified Competition

The service we offer is so unique, we do not know of any competitors offering our service in our community. Having owned infant and preschool programs, we delved into our own experiences to understand the genuine needs of owners. While many "competitors" focus on essentials like billing and payroll, we provide comprehensive services tailored to each program. This includes hiring, neighborhood-specific enrollment, building close communities with our parents that end up supporting each other, designing curriculum, training directors and teachers at each location, mentoring the next generation of educators in our program so they can thrive in this industry, and a host of other valuable offerings.
