Bell Counseling Services | Application Preview
Bell Counseling Services is seeking government grants to secure their current office space, which is essential for maintaining continuity and accessibility for their clients. The organization is focused on developing extended programs aimed at benefiting the community. These initiatives include establishing a Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program, skills classes like Victim Empathy and Weapon Safety, and enhancing juvenile services. They also intend to collaborate with local agencies to create an educational program next summer, expanding their reach into additional counties around Denton and Dallas.
The funding is critical as the organization recently lost a contract with a county's adult probation system, which previously provided a significant portion of their referrals and income. Although they are actively working to build relationships with other counties, the process is taking longer than expected, leading to financial strain. With only three employees, one of whom works part-time, sustaining operations is becoming increasingly challenging for this compassionate small business.
Bell Counseling Services differentiates itself from competitors like Polo Group, LLC and Tomorrow Counts Counseling Recovery through smaller class sizes that enable more personalized attention for clients. Their focus on viewing clients as individuals rather than mere statistics underlines their commitment to providing empathetic and professional support to those in need.

Business Plan
Bell Counseling Services is in the process of building extended programs that will benefit our community. We are working towards offering a Batterers Intervention and Prevention Program, skills classes such as Victim Empathy and Weapon Safety, among other classes, and continuing to build upon our juvenile services. We want to collaborate with other agencies in our community to provide a space for an academic educational program next summer, and aim to work with more local counties surrounding the Denton and Dallas area. Much of our clientele are on adult probation-- we work with them to create better-rounded members of our community. We are a compassionate, small business that want to help our clients succeed. Until last year, we were contracted with a certain county's adult probation to offer substance abuse services and programs. We are not currently contracted with them, and losing referrals for these services greatly impacted our monthly income. We are in the process of building our relationship with other surrounding counties to work with more clients, however, this has proven to take longer than anticipated. We have been able to stay afloat for a while it is becoming more of a struggle. We are a small office with only three employees, one of them only working part time. Being available to people in our community is important to us and we believe we offer important, highly personable and professional services to those in need.
