The business applying for government grants aims to enhance its operations by acquiring advanced camera equipment, investing in marketing and advertising, and increasing inventory to maximize returns. The long-term goal over the next five years includes transforming into a wholesaler of vintage clothing, allowing for higher sales volume. Additionally, the business plans to develop an innovative app that assigns value to vintage items, drawing inspiration from StockX. This app would facilitate the buying and selling of vintage pieces while charging a fee for transactions.
The applicant believes their extensive business education equips them with the knowledge to effectively manage and grow a successful enterprise. They emphasize the uniqueness of their app concept, highlighting its integration of features from various popular platforms like Depop, EBay, and StockX.
In terms of competition, the main rivals identified are Depop, EBay, and Poshmark, each established in the vintage marketplace. However, the business claims a competitive advantage by providing a comprehensive price range for vintage items based on thorough research, which could significantly reduce the risk of buyers being misled about the value of vintage products. This approach aims to build trust and create a transparent environment for both buyers and sellers in a market where accurate pricing has historically been challenging.

Business Plan
Within the next 5 years I am looking to become a wholesaler for my vintage clothes so that I can move items at a greater quantity. Along with that I am looking into app development that will be able to put a value on Vintage items similar to the works of StockX like how they put a rough Value on New Sneakers! And then being able to purchase different types of Vintage pieces through the app and charge a percentage from sellers who use the app to sell. I feel after Years of studying business at the college level I have a real grasp on how a successful business is supposed to be owned and managed. Along with my knowledge I feel the app development part is very innovative and has never been done before! It’s almost like a mix of Depop, EBay, & StockX

Self Identified Competition
Number 1 competitor as of now would be Depop because they already have lots of users on their app buying and selling vintage related items. Also EBay is a competitor because they have had users on their app buying and selling vintage clothes and other vintage items for years! And my last competitor would be Poshmark. They also have a good amount of users buying and selling vintage clothes on their platform! What makes me different from the competitors is that I would be giving a range of what the vintage item would cost based on various research indicators. Similar to the StockX app I will have a line graph of the cost that the item or similar item has sold for in the past. This helps buyers validate the cost of the Vintage item that they are buying since it is extremely difficult to put an accurate value on vintage. Lots of buyers are scammed when buying vintage items due to lack of knowledge on the actual cost of the item. This app will help buyers and sellers get an actual representation on what a vintage asset is really worth!
