ECOSTRUCTION | Application Preview
ECOSTRUCTION is applying for government grants to cover three months of payroll, fiscal year 2020 insurance premiums, and a commercial vehicle payment. The funding will also address unpaid receivables and support the extension of work on two sustainable building projects for an additional three months.
The first project involves creating a solar-powered health food market and restaurant, while the second focuses on constructing a facility using Rastra, an Integrated Concrete Form made from recycled polystyrene. This funding, combined with existing capital reserves, will enable ECOSTRUCTION to continue producing sustainable building structures, showcasing alternatives to wasteful practices.
Before the economic disruptions caused by the pandemic, the company was on the verge of expanding its sustainable single-family dwelling (SFD) projects throughout their county and in Hawai'i. They also plan to incorporate Bamcore Bamboo plywood in upcoming commercial buildings.
The business highlights its long-standing commitment to sustainable design and construction, dating back to 1996. ECOSTRUCTION has built a reputation for quality and has been invited to share their techniques in seminars across the U.S. By focusing on creating sustainable and efficient structures, they distinguish themselves from traditional builders, who often do not prioritize sustainability to the same degree.
ECOSTRUCTION faces limited competition in the sustainable building sector due to their expertise and established reputation, bolstered by a strong word-of-mouth client base. While local contractors can bid against them, their emphasis on craftsmanship and competitive pricing helps maintain their position in the market. Overall, the company’s dedication to true sustainability is framed as a key competitive advantage.

Business Plan
Prior to the Quarentine and economic turmoil; we were poised to start building more sustainable SFD's throughout our County and Hawai'i. We are also looking to expand the Commercial buildings; using the Bamcore Bamboo plywood system. The plant is currently located in our count, as well. Since 1996, we have been designing and building with Sustainable concepts; since before it was 'in fashion'. We have been asked to deliver seminars on our techniques throughout the US, and we continue to be focused on results and not just words. We have the operational buildings to stand by these claims. Our focus has always been to build quality, sustainable, and less wasteful structures; since our inception in 1996.

Self Identified Competition
We generally dont carry a lot of competition, as most building companies dont take sustainable building to the levels we do. Our word of mouth clientele, is based on years of competent craftsmanship in the Sustainable building fields. With that said, any local contractors in any area we operate are able to price bid against us. Thus, our competitive pricing and craftsmanship keeps us in business against conventional builders. We are dedicated to building true sustainable buildings. We have been, since 1996. Period.
