Home Grown Committee | Application Preview
The Home Grown Committee is seeking government grants to support their mission of expanding the hip hop scene and connecting artists with their fans. The funding will be used to enhance access to essential resources, including recording studios, professional filming equipment, and performance opportunities, allowing artists to express their creativity.
Their business plan revolves around a program called Rip City Basement, which offers classes on promotional and writing techniques. This initiative also features showcases where artists can record for free, collaborate, and participate in professionally recorded cyphers, all aimed at enhancing their exposure.
The committee emphasizes their strong community ties and connections with influential local networks, such as KBOO radio and the app Inadot, which focus on artist collaboration and promotion. Their partnership with KBOO, their only competitor, signifies a unified effort to establish Portland as a significant musical hub on the West Coast.
What sets them apart is their unwavering dedication to supporting artists from all backgrounds, prioritizing opportunity for those who might otherwise be overlooked in the competitive landscape of music. They believe in pinpointing and nurturing talent, ensuring that every artist has the chance to shine.

Business Plan
We plan to expand greatly throughout the state through our program called Rip City Basement, which is dedicated to help artist by providing classes designed to teach them to understand and utilize promotional techniques, writing techniques, also include them in a show case where they are granted the opportunity to record for free, collaborate with other artists, and be apart of a cypher. This cypher being professionally recorded and pushed throughout our network. Investors should invest with us because we are a well known brand in the area that has connections with KBOO radio, has a strong bond with not only the community, but a large list of connections that could bring in revenue once further expansion has occurred. We are supported by "Inadot" a app dedicated to creating networks with artist and musicians alike. We are also doing what is right.

Self Identified Competition
We have teamed up with our only competition, which is KBOO Portland Radio, which is a non profit public radio station that wishes to help further the progression of artist in the area. Together we intend to transform Portland into a great musical hub on the west coast. What makes us different is that we are relentless in our efforts. We show love to all artist despite where they are from, or how much money they have in their pockets, and this is our soul priority. Getting artist the exposure they deserve despite how polluted the world is with new music. We are here the find the diamonds in the rough and the only way to do that is to provide individuals with opportunity.
