Venture Associates, LLC dba Tiger Pin | Application Preview
Venture Associates, LLC, operating as Tiger Pin, is seeking government grants to modernize their business facilities. The funding would be used to upgrade electrical systems to incorporate energy-efficient technologies and to renovate the building to meet contemporary standards.
The proposed improvements include replacing outdated light fixtures and outlets for better energy efficiency, as well as modernizing the kitchen and bowling lanes. The business aims to expand its operations, ultimately creating 10 to 15 permanent jobs in the community.
The application underscores the importance of supporting a small-town business with a population of 1,300, emphasizing the desire to serve the local community while preserving the business for future generations. While competition exists in larger, more modern establishments located over 20 minutes away, Tiger Pin holds a unique position as one of the few remaining bowling alleys and restaurants in rural areas. Despite being sustainable throughout the pandemic and witnessing an increase in sales, the aging structure necessitates funding beyond their current means to achieve necessary upgrades.

Business Plan
Our plan includes replacing all light fixtures and outlets for better energy conservation. Also upgrading kitchen and bowling lanes to more modern standards. Our goal to grow the business to where we need to employ between 10-15 people year-round. As a small town (pop. 1300) business we want to continue to provide a service to our community while also updating the current structure in order that it may continue to exist for future generations.

Self Identified Competition
The closest competitors are over 20 minutes away but much more modern and larger than us. There are very few small towns that still have bowling alleys and restaurants operating today. While we have been able to be sustainable during this pandemic we have not been able to set funds aside to continue our plans to upgrade and modify the existing structure we occupy. Our business model is sustainable and we have seen increases in sales but the structure is aging and requires funding that is beyond are current resources.
