Airplane Gang Films | Application Preview
Airplane Gang Films is seeking government grants to fund the expansion of their business by acquiring a film studio or warehouse. This investment aims to enhance in-house filming capabilities, thereby retaining more revenue rather than outsourcing.
The company's growth has been steady, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, showcasing their resilience in providing viewers with engaging entertainment. Over the next five years, Airplane Gang Films envisions producing transformative projects that will have a significant impact on Montgomery, Alabama, including the launch of their own virtual platform akin to Netflix and YouTube to promote emerging artists. To date, nearly 20% of their films have been produced in Montgomery, and they aspire to emulate the economic success of Tyler Perry Studios in Georgia, boosting local revenue and job creation.
The rationale for granting funding lies in their independent nature and consistent growth through technological advancements. Many African American households may not afford cable, yet they have access to the internet, making their affordable content an attractive alternative. Their projects have garnered considerable attention, with several films achieving over 100,000 views. Partnering with Airplane Gang Films presents a strategic opportunity.
Currently, there is no competition in their niche within Montgomery, allowing them to thrive in producing commercials and music videos for local businesses and artists. They draw inspiration from established production companies while adapting their branding and operational strategies to fit their capabilities. Additionally, Airplane Gang Films engages with the community, contributing to children’s education and hosting free family events. Their goal is to leave a lasting impact in Alabama, regardless of whether it remains their permanent base.

Business Plan
Airplane Gang Films has been consistent in growth over the years. Even through the Covid-19 pandemic we have been able to supply our viewers with entertainment that they continue to look forward to. I predict in the next five years we will have movies and other projects that will change the impact of the city Montgomery, Alabama alone. We also plan on starting out own virtual platform similar to Netflix and YouTube to give other inspiring artists to display their content as well. Almost 20% of Airplane Gang Films movies have been filmed in Montgomery, Alabama already and I predict that in the near future our company could reflect the same impact Tyler Perry Studios has done for the state of Georgia. Bringing more revenue to the state and jobs. We are an independent company that continues to grow with technology everyday. The average black person may not be able to afford cable in their household but always has cellphone or internet usage to still utilize entertainment after a long day. It doesn’t cost to have a YouTube account but it does cost for other platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. People still enjoy watching movies and tv shows and we provide that to our viewers on even the lowest levels for those who can’t afford A-List movies and shows. We have impacted our city with projects that have been filmed here that have gained over a 100,000 views on multiple movies. Partnering with us is a great idea.

Self Identified Competition
At this time we don’t have any competition due to the lane we are in. We excel in filming and currently in Montgomery Alabama there isn’t anyone filming projects. We get business from people with small businesses to make commercials and advertising. We even have local artist that receive video treatment for music videos. As for now, we don’t have any issue with competition. We mostly consider ourselves as a growing production company who admire companies like Tyler Perry Studios, Sony, Universal and Interscope. Nevertheless these companies are way past our threshold at the time, we strive in using similar branding and guidelines as the A-List companies do. We have also brand clothing and merchandise that sell very well when we put major projects in local movie theaters. Every year we have donated to children with back to school supplies and a free family day event in local parks in Montgomery and Valley Alabama. We plan on leaving our stamp on Alabama even if it isn’t our forever home.
