Becca's Midwest Cleaning services | Application Preview
Becca's Midwest Cleaning Services is seeking government grants to support the employment of individuals affected by COVID-19 layoffs. The funding will be allocated to providing competitive wages, offering training for new employees, and recovering from business losses incurred during the pandemic. The business aims to expand its workforce to better serve clients and restore lost business while creating opportunities for employees to advance within the company.
The business plan focuses on hiring and training staff to become leaders who can further develop the company. An updated website will showcase cleaning packages and provide client assurance by highlighting staff credentials, paired with targeted marketing efforts to stimulate steady growth in a high-demand region.
Becca's Midwest Cleaning believes it represents a valuable investment opportunity. The owner is committed to giving back to the community and improving employees' livelihoods. Success in client care and employee satisfaction is expected to contribute positively to the local economy.
Regarding competition, Becca's operates against established services like Molly Maids and smaller, single-person companies. However, it stands out by offering significant advancement opportunities, a range of cleaning packages, competitive pricing, and a strong emphasis on employee training and customer service.
The competitive edge lies in the investment in employee development and community involvement, with a commitment to quality training that equips team members to excel. Becca's Midwest Cleaning aims to differentiate itself through its culture of care for both employees and clients, promoting professionalism and competence within its ranks.

Funding Usage
The funding I receive will be used to employ individuals who are without work, most of which was due to covid layoffs. I need funding in order to give them competitive wages while in the process of recovering my business losses I experienced during Covid. I want to employ more people to take care of my clients, and regain my clientele I lost along with more. I want to work my employees up the ranks of the business to managers and district supervisors. My goal isn't just for business expansion, but to give people the opportunity to become successful. Whether they stay with my company or not, they will have learned important skill sets for their future endeavors. Specifically, I need funding for training new employees, better wages, office space rental, webpage design, supplies for running the business (cleaning supplies for each of my teams), marketing, computers and phones for the business. Eventually I would like to provide each team with a company vehicle, but that is not an immediate need.

Business Plan
My goal is to hire more people and train them to be competitive in this field of work, building them up to be leaders able to train new people. I will complete a website that showcases the cleaning packages I offer for residential and offices, and provide information on my staff to ease the comfort of my clients. Combining these efforts as well as advertising will provide my company and employees with steady growth as the demand is quite high in my region. I am a worthwhile investment because I want to invest back into my communities that have been hit by COVID and make it easier for my employees to give back to their communities and better their way of life. By successfully caring for my clients and my employees, we will build a better economy for the small communities we live in.

Self Identified Competition
Some of my top competitors are Molly Maids, TheMaids, Merry Maids, all located in Des Moines. There are smaller companies like mine run by a single person as well. The major difference I saw with their companies and mine are the advancement opportunies in my company for employees, they only service on community or city whereas I serve multiple, competitive pricing for clients, I offer multiple cleaning packages, I train my employees well so they perform excellent customer service, and I care about each of my employees and clients. My desire is to better the communities that I serve. Currently I have clients in 7 small communities and others in Des Moines, West Des Moines, etc. I give my employees the opportunity to become professional leaders in their communities and this is not common in companies similar to mine. I provide in depth training and guidance to my employees so they learn important skill sets to teach others, in or out of my company. When I worked for other cleaning companies, there was a lack of training, no leadership or advancement opportunities, and the pay was minimal at best. I want something more for my employees. And I want my clients to be well cared for by people who are professional, know what they are doing, and willing to give their best so they can advance.
