Brown Construction 419252663 | Government Grant Application

Brown Construction | Application Preview

Brown Construction is applying for government grants to recover from financial losses experienced during the pandemic in 2020. Due to a significant reduction in work opportunities, the business struggled to maintain equipment and cover loan repayments. The funding will be utilized to ensure proper equipment upkeep and to stabilize the company financially, allowing it to thrive again.

The business plan includes the purchase of new equipment to take on larger projects and expand its operations beyond the local community.

Brown Construction emphasizes the importance of its role in the small town, highlighting a commitment to not just profit, but also assisting the community, particularly in post-storm recovery efforts. The owner values personal relationships with clients and prides themselves on respectful service, timely job completion, and high-quality work.

In a competitive landscape dominated by larger companies from nearby cities, Brown Construction stands out by offering more affordable rates while maintaining a personal touch. Their local presence allows them to connect with clients on a deeper level, ensuring a high standard of workmanship without compromising cost.

  • Funding Usage

I plan on using funding to offset the loss that I took during the pandemic in 2020. I was not able to work due to lack of opportunity. Because of this, I did not have the funds available to maintenance my equipment. I will use the money given to go towards the upkeep of equipment and repayment of loans so that my company can thrive as it did before the pandemic hit.

  • Business Plan

I plan to purchase new equipment so that I can fulfill bigger jobs. Currently, my business is a small local business. I would like to grow to other communities. I run a small business in a small town. Not only am I in business to make money and put food on the table, but I also help people in need. After a bad storm, I am more than willing to help clean up after storm damage. I enjoy getting to know my clients and form personable relationships with them. I never take advantage of anyone, and always treat clients with respect. I complete jobs in a very reasonable amount of time, and do top notch work. I enjoy what I do every single day, and I put 100% into my work.

  • Self Identified Competition

I live in a small rural town in Alabama, and run a small business. My main competitors are much larger companies coming from larger surrounding cities. They typically charge more for jobs that I can do for a portion of the costs. My business is different because I get to know the people that I am completing jobs for. I don't believe in doing partial work. I give 100% every time I show up to a job, no less. I am more local, so I can complete the same job that bigger companies can for a fraction of the cost.
