The business is applying for government grants to support the acquisition of equipment and training for the installation and maintenance of green energy solutions. The proposed funding will cover essential software for tracking maintenance and bookkeeping, as well as development costs for a website aimed at educating consumers about green energy options and local rebates. The website will also help homeowners assess potential upgrades for energy efficiency.

The business plan involves partnering with Generac and City Electric Supply to create a baseline retrofit package for homeowners and light commercial facilities transitioning to green energy. The plan includes adapting to market demands by offering various energy alternatives, such as solar, wind, and natural gas, with the aim of establishing a fully mobile operation.

In making a case for funding, the applicant highlights their extensive experience as an IBEW electrician, with a focus on green energy technologies over the past six years. The applicant emphasizes a commitment to staying current with industry changes and recognizes the growth potential in the green energy market. The goal is to be at the forefront of this change, contributing to a more sustainable energy future.

Currently, the applicant faces limited competition in their area, primarily characterized by a lack of companies dedicated to green energy solutions. The competitive edge of the business lies in its approach to empowering homeowners through clean energy investments, fostering a shift in mindset towards eco-friendly living. The goal is to help individuals recognize their impact on the environment through their choices, starting with their homes.

  • Business Plan

I’m currently working directly with Generac and City Electric Supply developing a base line home retrofit package for a home owner or light commercial facility to begin the green energy conversion. As the technology changes being partnered with these major contributors to the energy market I will broaden my area based off demand and interest provided by Generac’s sales team. As this market grows I will adapt to each sales areas primes energy alternative be it solar, wind, natural gas, etc. By doing this I want to achieve the ability to be a 100% mobile company. And with my current partnership, having access to the same items across the country will make this possible. I’ve been an IBEW electrician for 17 years and have seen the extremely slow conversion to green energy start to pick up speed. I’ve vested the last 6 years of my life in additional training outside the workplace from smart home setup to large scale solar arrays. For the last 5 years I ve been used for my abilities in instrumentation and equipment that’s being built to new technology standards. Everyday I make it a point to keep up with what’s changing and what’s not working. My ambition to succeed is unmatched and my knowledge of the energy and electrical trade provides old school work ethics with new school applications. I’ve believe strongly this will be the future of the power industry and I want to be on the forefront of that. Co-op energy distribution will just be the start to becoming a truly self sustaining and efficient society.

  • Self Identified Competition

Currently where I am no other company has dedicated themselves to this market due to the demand for current upgrade of existing infrastructure. So at this time the only competition I can truly think of would be the power company and getting nah sayers onboard My company is not just an investment in the physical equipment that will be generating clean energy, but an investment for people to not have to rely on a failing infrastructure for energy. By setting up homeowners with an “ec-ome” ( my name for efficient eco homes ) they’ll begin to see the positives of their investment and start doing things in such a manner that’s helping the environment and not even realize it. From my experience, once a person gets on board with this concept, they’re all in. Every thing they do with their home or vehicle from that moment on will be thought of completely different and with the idea that their house was only the start at what they as one person can contribute.
