Guitron Ruelas Morris Rd LLC. DBA Moctezuma Mexic | Application Preview
Guitron Ruelas Morris Rd LLC, operating as Moctezuma Mexic, is applying for government grants to support their family-owned restaurant. The requested funding will primarily be used for payroll, rent, and other expenses, enabling them to maintain their staff and operations during slow business periods, particularly worsened by COVID-19. The restaurant has experienced a significant drop in sales due to the pandemic, with a large portion of their clientele being hesitant to dine out.
The business plans to enhance its facilities by adding outdoor seating and updating the dining room and kitchen to promote a safer and more comfortable dining experience. They aim to expand their menu options for dine-in and catering, making takeout and delivery more accessible as part of their strategy to adapt to changing customer needs. There is also a plan to hire additional staff and acquire a vehicle for delivery services.
The application emphasizes the restaurant's commitment to its community and customers, highlighting that they view patrons as family rather than just sources of income. Their competitive edge lies in their authentic, home-cooked Mexican cuisine, prepared with care by the owners, who are brothers passionate about their heritage and cooking. Despite facing competition from larger chain restaurants that offer similar dining concepts, Moctezuma Mexic prides itself on its unique, authentic offerings and strong community ties.

Funding Usage
We will use this money by helping us pay payroll, rent (so we won't fall behind and stay open), and expenses through the slow periods. We would love to keep our staff and add more workers once people feel safe to come back out. Add more space to the restaurant to make customers feel comfortable (maybe add outdoor sitting). We are usually slow during holidays and colder months but due to the times it has been very inconsistent due to covid-19. Due to covid-19 we have seen a large decrease in sales but still require to employee the same amount of people in order to help out when is needed and not loosing their jobs. Offices around have been closed since March 2020. Which counted for 80% of our business and families for scared to go out especially older in age individuals.
