Trail Rider Pizza of New Mexico LLC | Application Preview
Trail Rider Pizza of New Mexico LLC is seeking government grants to sustain operations during COVID-19. They aim to expand their offerings by developing packaging and distribution for specialty items, including pizza kits, take-and-bake pizzas, and specialty sweets, targeting both the Albuquerque area and beyond.
The business plan involves growing the staff to 25 over the next five years, including specialized roles like bakers and dough masters. They are exploring wholesale opportunities for their signature products and planning to launch a local delivery service, which is currently unavailable. Additionally, the restaurant envisions hosting live entertainment to support local and traveling talent.
With 15 years of experience, Trail Rider Pizza has transitioned from a small trailer to a full-sized restaurant with a professional kitchen. They pride themselves on offering high-quality food made from scratch, including a full vegan menu and house-made gluten-free crust. Committed to supporting local communities, they have a solid foundation and have shown consistent sales growth, emphasizing their determination to thrive post-COVID.
In terms of competition, their nearest rivals are Dions pizza in Albuquerque, Dominos in Edgewood, and ButterCrust Pizza in Moriarty. However, Trail Rider Pizza's competitive advantage lies in its long-standing presence, passion for pizza, diverse menu accommodating special diets, and a dedicated entertainment space for live performances, setting them apart from the competition.

Business Plan
We plan to have a staff of 25 in 5 years, including 2 bakers and 2 dough masters. We plan to begin packaging our signature items and are currently researching selling them wholesale. We would love to have our pizza dough kits and sweet rolls available for purchase at stores. We plan to introduce delivery service to the area, currently there are no such delivery services available near us. We plan to host live entertainment several nights a week, providing local talent as well as traveling entertainers a place to perform. We have owned Trail Rider Pizza for 15 years. We grew our roots in a small single wide trailer and in October 2018 made the jump to a full size restaurant with a professional kitchen. We are passionate in feeding people quality food made from scratch. We offer a full vegan menu as well as a gluten free crust made in house. We cater to special diets as well as traditional pizza. We put love into everything we prepare. We are longtime supporters of many local organizations in the east mountain community. We have strong roots as an established business and are fighting to survive the covid closure stage. We had just began to thrive when covid shut our doors. We've shown a steady marked increase in sales yearly and anticipate many years of growth ahead. We believe in the good things coming.

Self Identified Competition
To our West in Albuquerque (30 mins away) is Dions pizza, a local franchise. To our East in Edgewood (30 minutes away) is a Dominos pizza. To our East in Moriarty (45 mins away) is ButterCrust Pizza. We have a passion for pizza. We offer a full vegan menu as well as a house made gluten free crust. We cater to allergies and food sensitivities as well as traditional pizza. We have been in business longer than the Dominos or ButterCrust has been here, indicating how deep our roots are. We have an entertaining space which none of those 3 competitors has and we cant wait to invite performers back in.
