Haulher Heavy Haul Consulting, LLC 803302139 | Government Grant Application

Haulher Heavy Haul Consulting, LLC | Application Preview

Haulher Heavy Haul Consulting, LLC is applying for government grant funding to cover the essential startup costs required to legally operate, including purchasing insurance, a broker bond, setting up a TMS system, and obtaining MC/DOT Authority. These steps are necessary to begin operations and immediately generate revenue by transferring an existing customer base of over 300 clients (producing $20M in revenue annually at 20% margins) to the new business.

The business plan focuses on scaling by growing the client base, hiring 1099 agents with existing books of business, and expanding services into areas like full truckload, flatbed, and LTL freight.

The application emphasizes the importance of supporting Haulher because it addresses a critical gap in the heavy haul brokerage sector: diversity and inclusion. Founded by a well-respected woman leader in logistics, Haulher intends to be the industry's first women-owned heavy haul brokerage. The company is committed not only to business success but also to creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs in the supply chain industry, promoting safety standards, fraud prevention, and community growth.

Competition includes asset-based carriers, companies like Landstar, and other freight brokerages. Haulher’s competitive edge lies in its relationship-first, service-driven approach. Instead of focusing solely on rates and volume, the company prioritizes long-term partnerships, empathetic service, regulatory expertise, and resilience in an increasingly complex transportation market. By humanizing the logistics process and empowering both shippers and carriers, Haulher aims to lead a transformative shift in the heavy haul sector.

Continue to grow my customer base, add agents (1099 employees) to the business that either already have a book of business or will bring in more business as well. Diversify and add full truck load/flatbed as well as LTL to the business. I have a large following within the Logistics Business world where I help non profits like women in trucking, help other sales reps grow their businesses, create and maintain safety regulations within the industry and help with fraud prevention. Haulher is equipped to be the first Heavy Haul Brokerage that is women owned, promoting diversity in the heavy haul field, and empowering women entrepreneurs in supply chain. I will be able to help provide a place for women to grow and empower them in this industry!

  • Self Identified Competition

    1. Carriers (some customers prefer asset based businesses) 2. Landstar 3. Other Brokerages At Haulher, I am proud to have created the first and only women-owned heavy haul brokerage in the industry — a distinction that shapes everything we do, and will continue to do. While most heavy haul brokers focus strictly on rates and loads, I approach this business through the lens of relationship-first service and servant leadership. In today’s environment, where supply chain volatility, rising insurance costs, and stricter regulatory pressures continue to challenge the transportation sector, I believe a more human-centered, resilient approach is needed. I have invested deeply in building long-term partnerships, not just transactions. I listen, adapt, and act with empathy — offering my clients creative solutions, dependable communication, and a personal touch that sets us apart. By blending industry-leading expertise with a softer, service-driven philosophy, I help shippers and carriers navigate today’s complex heavy haul challenges more easily and with greater trust. Simply put, we’re not just moving freight — we’re moving the industry forward.
