Top Hand Services LLC | Application Preview
Top Hand Services LLC is seeking an $80,000 government grant to support its initial startup phase. The funding would be used to hire two employees and cover overhead expenses until consistent revenue begins flowing in. Specific expenses include equipment rentals, tool purchases, fuel for crew vehicles and machinery, and essential safety gear like fall protection, hard hats, flame-resistant clothing, and ladders.
The long-term vision is to grow into a larger operation with ten employees, five vehicles, and company-owned equipment. The owner also hopes to expand beyond oil and gas construction into broader markets while serving as a mentor for younger workers entering the trades.
The applicant underscores the challenges of obtaining private loans as a new business and highlights the personal dedication and work ethic as key strengths. Rather than seeing competitors as threats, they view the industry as a supportive community, listing several local companies they admire and collaborate with.
What sets Top Hand Services apart is the owner’s youth, drive, and strong personal reputation in the industry. Without external financial backing, they remain committed to building their business through hands-on involvement and community support. The grant would play a crucial role in turning their vision into reality.

Business Plan
Through diversity of knowledge and training. I’d like to grow my business to at-least ten employees, five crew vehicles, and purchasing of my own equipment. I also eventually would like to be able to do more than just oil and gas industry construction. I’d like to give the younger generation a place to learn and grow there skills in the construction trade and to encourage others to build a dream for themselves. I believe, an investment into a business like mine can possibly benefit our community. I too believe if the grant writers and investors could meet me and get to know me on a personal level, that they would be asking themselves why they haven’t invested yet. I’m a hard working big hearted individual. I have a dream to inspire people of my background that with a little help from a willing person. That anything is possible and achievable. The sky is the limit we all have heard through out our lives and I’m excited to jump through the clouds and see what is on the other side. I’m sure this explains nothing to what you would like to read. But I’ve tried a lot of other avenues and getting a small business loan is almost impossible without being in business for more than two years and I can not take off without a little help. I know I requested $80,000 and that is a lot of money but with that money I’ll be able to acquire a lot of not all the things I need to be successful.

Self Identified Competition
Competition in my line of work is huge, but I don’t see the companies that work the same line of work as me as competitors because every single one of the similar type of services that are out there are different. Some companies have different specialties, different ways of doing things. I see the competition in the oil and gas industry as family because we all have one set goal and that is to be successful. We help each other out other than fight over work. The companies I see as my biggest allies/competitors are ECI which is based out of glenrock Wyoming, Totem which is based out of Mills Wyoming such as my company, and the Platte River welding which I’m employed as a w2 employee currently and that I’ve managed for the last 4 years is based out of Glenrock Wyoming. What makes me different is that I’m younger than the other owners, I feel I’m more determined than they are, I’m not afraid to put in the leg work to achieve this, I won’t rely solely on my employees to make this successful. I have no financial backing like they have. My personal name is very established in our trade and there is a lot of people “rooting” for me to be successful
