Solace Therapy LLC | Application Preview
Solace Therapy LLC is applying for government grant funding to support and expand its behavioral health services. The requested funds would cover office lease costs, hiring of critical staff (such as a Case Manager, Counselor Intern, Recovery Coach, and LPC), marketing efforts, training sessions, office supplies, and behavioral support services provided at schools and daycares.
The business plans to grow by obtaining LPC licensure and recruiting additional licensed professionals, which would broaden the range of services beyond those allowed under the current LCDC credential. Solace Therapy also aims to incorporate behavior analysis services and continue pursuing new service contracts to expand its reach.
Solace Therapy operates as a licensed substance abuse facility serving underserved populations in Jefferson County. Currently offering pro bono care despite limited staffing and funding, the organization seeks to grow its capacity to address issues such as substance abuse, legal problems, family challenges, and employment difficulties. The agency emphasizes dignity and holistic treatment, striving to remind clients they are more than their circumstances.
Key competitors include Jefferson County Adult Probation, Spindletop, and Land Manor Inc. However, Solace Therapy differentiates itself through a personal, mission-driven approach. The founder prioritizes genuine care over quotas, offers flexible hours, provides on-site school support across counties, conducts DOT evaluations, and includes faith-based counseling — services not commonly offered by the competition. This commitment to personalized, spiritually integrated care gives Solace Therapy a unique position in the behavioral health space.

Self Identified Competition
Jefferson County Adult Probation Spindletop Land Manor Inc My business does not perceive the client as a number for staff to get paid. True a man is worth his service, from working years at two of my competitors, what I can say is my heart is in it. I refuse to be a disservice to the clients that come to me for help. What I've personally experienced was supervisors that belittle some of the clients to make themselves seem better. This type of thinking did not align with me as a professional. What makes my practice unique is my hours are flexible, If need be I go to schools in a different county to give parents support. I provided DOT evaluations, I provided faith-based counseling where these other agencies are limited. I invest in myself to be able to treat the whole person mentally and spiritually.
