  • Business Plan

Heart of Gold FFA is a foster agency in the largest county in California, which is San Bernardino County. Heart of Gold is already recruiting resource parents via social media, word of mouth and walk-ins to establish a large list of applicants that will be certified as resource parents with the intention of placing foster children and in return, generate more revenue. Heart of Gold will hire an entire recruitment team to locate and train resource parents within San Bernardino county. All foster agencies depend on new resource parents to help grow the agency because without resource parents and foster children there is no funding available for foster agencies. Heart of Gold will attend various community events to advertise the need for resource parents. Heart of Gold foster family agency is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to helping children and families with their everyday needs. Heart of Gold was established to change the lives of foster children, one child at a time. This agency is special because the executive director is a current social worker and administrator who branched out and opened her own foster agency because she saw the need in the local community. In addition, the executive director adopted a child out of foster care, so she specifically understands the need from a more personal perspective. Heart of Golds mission is to change the lives of all children in foster care. Heart of Gold’s mission is to support, guide and nurture individuals, families and communities with hope, dignity and love; one child at a time! 100% of funds raised with benefit children, teens and young adults in Foster Care. All funds raised will go towards transportation costs, extracurricular activities, emergency clothing allowances, sports, education, etc.

  • Self Identified Competition

With a foster agency business , I don’t believe there are competitors. We are all working together as a community to help children who are displaced from their homes and placed into the foster care system. There may be times when one agency has an opening and the other agency does not. But as long as the children are placed into a safe home, the mission has been accomplished. To make our foster agency stand out, we will focus on building a strong foundation of support, training, and community involvement. We have made a commitment to providing comprehensive resources for both foster families and the children in our care. A few of the areas we will focus on are comprehensive training programs to help foster children and foster families be the best they can be, we will establish a strong support network to ensure we are utilizing the most effective and reliable resources available in our community and most importantly, we have dedicated case managers who provide personalized support and advocacy who responsive and attentive to the needs of foster parents and children. In addition, we will always take a child-centered approach that focuses on trauma-informed practices. To accomplish this, we will develop personalized care plans that address each child's unique needs, developmental history, and goals. We will provide Family Reunification Support, which will provide birth parent support and resources that facilitate reunification, when appropriate, ensuring the best interests of the child are prioritized. To conclude, Heart of Golds will participate in community engagement and partnerships Community Engagement and Partnerships while Networking with Local Organizations. By focusing on these key areas, Heart of Gold plans to demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care and support for both children and foster families, making it a desirable choice for those seeking to enter foster care.
