The Little Village Playroom LLC | Application Preview
The Little Village Playroom LLC is seeking government funding to help sustain and grow its indoor play space, designed for young children and their caregivers in the Charlotte area. The grant would support essential monthly costs to keep the facility running, while also enabling the expansion of programming—such as kids’ yoga, music and movement classes, craft sessions, sensory play, seasonal events, and parenting workshops.
The business, founded by stay-at-home moms, focuses on early childhood development through play and aims to create a supportive "village" atmosphere for families, especially those new to the area. Their longer-term goal is to open additional locations across Charlotte, providing more access for families while generating local employment and stimulating the community economy.
What sets The Little Village apart from competitors like Confete Soiree & Play and Grow Café is its emphasis on structured, educational play and caregiver support. While competitors offer quality play environments, The Little Village focuses on personalized experiences and building a tight-knit community for parents and children alike.
By funding this initiative, the government would be investing in a growing business with strong social impact, one that supports children's development, strengthens family bonds, and contributes to local economic growth.

Funding Usage
If we have the amazing opportunity to receive this grant, the funds would help us cover monthly expenses to keep our doors open and continue offering a safe, joyful space for families in our community. It would also allow us to expand our programming with more enriching activities—like kids’ yoga, music and movement classes, themed craft sessions, and sensory play days. We’d love to host seasonal events, parent meetups, and even parenting workshops to help moms and dads feel more supported and connected. This grant would give us the ability to grow our village—not just in space, but in heart. With your support, we can continue building a place where little ones learn through play, and parents find friendship, rest, and the reminder that they’re not alone

Business Plan
Our goal is to create not just a fun and safe play space, but also a nurturing environment where young children can learn through play and social interaction. We also want to provide caregivers with a sense of community—“a little village”—where they feel supported and connected. Over the next five years, we plan to expand to additional locations throughout the Charlotte area, allowing us to serve more families and neighborhoods. With this growth, we aim to create more job opportunities within our community, supporting local talent and contributing to the local economy. We are a group of stay-at-home moms who understand firsthand the importance of having a safe, fun, and clean environment where young children can play, learn, and develop. The Little Village is more than just an indoor play space—it's a place where children engage in playful learning through activities that introduce colors, shapes, fruit names, and more. Many of us relocated to Charlotte from other states, and we know how challenging it can be to find a supportive community. That’s why The Little Village is also a space for caregivers to connect, build friendships, and find the “village” they need. By investing in our playroom, you’re supporting a growing initiative that fosters early childhood development, builds community, and creates job opportunities—while also contributing to a business with strong growth potential in family-centered neighborhoods.

Self Identified Competition
One of our top competitors is Confete Soiree & Play, an indoor play space with a large party area and a designated play zone for children. They operate on a first-come, first-served basis and do not offer reserved time slots. Another competitor is Grow Café, a family-friendly café that also provides scheduled indoor playtime for children. Both of these businesses feature wooden play structures and offer a variety of engaging activities for kids. These competitors cater to similar age groups and offer quality play experiences, but what sets The Little Village apart is our focus on structured learning through play, a strong sense of community for caregivers, and flexible reservation options for a more personalized experience.
