Kat Curry Insurance Agency 86-2318159 | Government Grant Application

Kat Curry Insurance Agency | Application Preview

Kat Curry Insurance Agency is applying for government grants to bridge the gap between its first-year revenue and expenses. The funds will primarily support payroll for staff and may assist with rent.

The agency currently provides insurance services throughout Texas and aims to maintain long-term relationships with clients through excellent service and retention strategies. By focusing on sales and maintaining a growing book of business, the agency projects an increase in renewal commissions, enabling further growth and the hiring of additional staff as needed.

The owner emphasizes a commitment to the local community in Krum, Texas, where the agency is based. By supporting staff income, the business aims to impact the community positively. Plans for future community engagement include fundraising, charity events, and donations once the agency achieves stable revenue. Previous events have been funded personally, showcasing a dedication to community well-being.

In terms of competition, the agency operates in a growing area with one primary competitor, a small independent agent. There’s also competition from online carriers like Geico and Progressive, which are often seen as lacking in personalized service. Kat Curry Insurance Agency differentiates itself by prioritizing client relationships, offering policy reviews at renewal times, and ensuring clients understand their coverage options, thereby fostering a sense of trust and loyalty.

  • Business Plan

Currently we provide insurance to anyone in the state of Texas. We plan to continue to sell policies and then provide great service to our client's in order to keep them in our book of business for years to come. By focusing on sales and retention our book will grow and our renewal commissions will continue to grow each year. This will allow me to increase my staff's income when needed as well as hire additional staff members as we grow. I believe in giving back and want to provide opportunities for individuals looking to work hard in my community. My staff is local and being able to provide them with the income to take care of their expenses and families means everything to me. Krum Texas is a small town full of great people. I want to make an impact by investing back into the community through fundraising, charity events and donations once we have built a book that is generating additional income. We have already hosted events and get togethers with personal money and would love to continue provide positivity and relief within the community.

  • Self Identified Competition

We opened out in Krum, Texas as they are about to absorbed tremendous growth from the Denton area. Currently there is only one other insurance agent who runs a small office in downtown. In the immediate area he would be considered our largest competitor. Other than him, a small independent agent, we see our top competition from "online" carriers such as Geico and Progressive. We believe in not only selling insurnace but educating our clients as well. These online carriers typically do not take the time to review coverages for gaps, to make sure their insured fully understand their polices, or create a relationship with their client's in order to keep their business for the long haul. We spend time getting to know our client's. Every time a policy renews we reach out to our insured and offer to sit down with them to review their coverage, answer questions and to look for additional savings options. Even if they are not available to come in we still send them a full policy review via email. We take care of our client's and our community.
