**Summary of Government Grant Application – Serenity Haven Salon, LLC**
Serenity Haven Salon, LLC is seeking government funding to support the launch and operation of a new salon. The funds would be used for building out the salon space, purchasing equipment and hair care products, hiring contractors and a lawyer, covering rent and utilities, and supporting the business owner’s time investment while she receives no other income.
The salon’s business strategy focuses on creating a warm, community-oriented environment where clients feel comfortable and valued. Marketing efforts will rely heavily on word-of-mouth, with plans to staff three additional stylists who will bring their own client base.
The applicant brings over 23 years of experience in hairstyling, along with a background in business management and bookkeeping. As a single mother, she highlights her dedication, resilience, and work ethic as key reasons the business will succeed. Her personal story underlines a strong motivation to build something sustainable and inspiring for her children and community.
While there are established competitors nearby, such as HairCuttery, Serenity Haven aims to differentiate itself through personalized care, client trust, and high-quality hair products. The owner believes this human-centered approach will help build lasting client relationships and steady growth.

Business Plan
Advertise, marketing, and being a part of the community. Giving clients a comfortable place where they can come and feel at home. The more a person trusts their stylist or even a person, they will come back and tell their friends. Word of mouth is the biggest advertisement. I am looking to have 3 other stylist that will have their own clientele. I am a hard-working person who has provided for my family. I am a single mom who has taken care of my kids mostly by myself, and I want to be able to show my kids, along with other people, that anything is possible. I have been a hair stylist for over 23 years, and then went full-time being a bookkeeper for an accounting company. I still did hair on the side and went to college to get my associate's degree in Business Management, while also taking care of my kids and the home. I know I can have my salon succeed. I just need help to start, if at all possible.

Self Identified Competition
HairCutery and a couple of other salons in the area. I believe the personality of a person and the care one has for another is what makes me different. The hair care products I will use for the care of the hair for my clients.
