Nursing You Educational Resources | Application Preview
Nursing You Educational Resources is applying for government grants to secure funding that will support its mission of helping nursing students in financial need. The requested funds will be used for multiple purposes, including purchasing a commercial building to serve as a central hub for operations, acquiring essential office equipment like computers and furniture, and establishing a variety of support services such as scholarships, food and clothing pantries, and a student library and lounge.
The business aims to create partnerships with nursing programs nationwide, focusing on students earning less than $30,000 annually or those returning to school who are facing financial difficulties. To facilitate this, the organization plans to offer nursing scholarships twice a month and hold informative sessions in collaboration with nursing schools, hospitals, and nursing homes. Additionally, a marketing strategy involving social media, television, and podcasts will be implemented to reach a broader audience.
The founder emphasizes the need for this initiative based on personal experiences and observations of nursing students struggling with homelessness, hunger, and financial instability. The goal is to alleviate these barriers so that students can focus on their studies without the stress of daily living expenses.
Nursing You Educational Resources claims to have no direct competitors, as existing organizations primarily focus on educational services rather than comprehensive support for low-income nursing students. Its distinct approach includes a commitment to providing resources that will empower, mentor, and guide nursing students, thereby enhancing their educational experience and increasing enrollment in nursing programs. The organization ultimately seeks to address the nursing shortage by ensuring that more qualified individuals are able to enter the workforce.

Business Plan
Connecting/partnering with nursing programs across the United States who have nursing students that make less than 30,000 a year or nursing students who return to school and are struggling to maintain financially. Give Nursing scholarships twice a month. Connect with the nursing schools, hospitals, and nursing homes to hold information sessions for nursing students. increase marketing for business through television, video/podcast and social media platforms When I was a nursing student I went from working a fulltime job to working a 6 hr a week job because of the rigor of nursing school. I had difficulty in balancing life and school and wanted to quit. Over the years as a students and now an educator I have seen nursing students homeless, hungry, no transportation or has transportation but no gas becasue they have no money; being evicted from their homes, domestic violence, little or no income except financial aid. Most of these students has children ore than one. My vision is to assist in breaking down these barriers that are preventing nursing students from completing school and being successful. No having the mental in addition to the mental and physical stress about financial means or food, clothes or childcare expenses is something I wish I had offered to me back then. I am in the position to where I want to give back to future and current nurses to alleviate that barrier.

Self Identified Competition
I do not have any competitors. There is no company that is doing what I am doing as a non-profit for little or no income nursing students. Services I have seen are more to provide educational services such as NCLEX preparation and that is for a cost. My organization will do the following: 1.Provide services, products and resources that will teach, engage, and inspire future and current nurses to complete nursing school and pay it forward to other nursing students. 2. Provide support, guidance, empowerment, mentorship, faith, and sustainability. 3. Provide an equitable learning experience 4. Reduce life stressor and promote mental health and wellness. 5. Increase enrollment to nursing programs 6. Reduce nursing shortage 7. Increase nurses into the workforce
