**Summary of Grant Application – Prestige Building Concepts LLC**
**Business Overview:**
Prestige Building Concepts LLC is a construction company with a focus on residential repairs and renovations. The company is majority-owned by a Hispanic woman and is committed to improving housing conditions for low-income and elderly residents. The owner brings over 23 years of experience from working in local government roles related to community development and housing rehabilitation.
**Funding Request:**
The company is seeking financial support to purchase essential equipment including hand tools, an enclosed trailer, and two additional trucks. A major goal is to acquire a small office or warehouse space to centralize operations, store materials, and establish a more professional business presence. Funding would also help cover operating expenses and support hiring more workers to complete projects faster and more efficiently. While the ideal request includes purchasing a dedicated building (valued over $150,000), the business is flexible and willing to adjust the amount requested.
**Business Plan:**
Prestige plans to obtain a General Contractor’s license to qualify for larger contracts, especially those involving $70,000+ in home repairs through local government funding programs. This license would open the door to more substantial community improvement projects.
**Justification for Funding:**
The business is driven by a mission to improve living conditions for people in underserved communities, particularly elderly or low-income residents living with serious housing issues. The owner sees this work as a calling and his way of giving back. Their goal isn't wealth, but stability for their team and tangible help for those in need. Funding would enable them to accept more contracts and increase both job creation and community impact.
**Competitive Edge:**
The company emphasizes quality, integrity, and a personal connection to every project. Unlike some competitors who may provide lower-quality work or inflate bids, Prestige focuses on consistent, compassionate service. The team views each client as family, which has built trust and gratitude within the community they serve.

Funding Usage
We need funding to buy more equipment, tools, enclosed trailer, hand tools and another 2 trucks. Our company is primarily owned by my wife Hispanic wife. We could use a office/ small warehouse that would be able to our equipment, supplies and vehicles. That way we would have an equipped official office. If possible, some operating cash to hire more people to complete our jobs more efficiently and quicker. We are always invited to bid on projects but some we can't until we acquire all the things listed. Our monthly expenses sometimes we run out and spend our personal funds until we get paid again. I feel our largest purchase would be a location for our business. But if we are asking too much, we could reduce that to 150000.00

Business Plan
I plan to obtain our General Contractors licenses that way we could bid for the new round of projects that use upwards to $70,000.00 in home repairs and possibly build some of the home for these council of governments. We are truly a hard-working company with dedicated employees that want to help people. I have spent over 23 years of my life working for the City of Winston Salem and the City of High Point's Community Development Departments helping as a Project manager and Lead Grant Manager with people that live in such bad housing conditions. Most of these people are older or poor that to me seem to be trap in living conditions I could not imagine living in them. Little to no heat, power issues, leaking roofs and plumbing issues. I want to be able to help these people live better. I don't expect to get rich by doing this but to make a decent living for my employees and my family. I really feel bad for the elderly ones to me their homes are like a prison with those conditions I explained. The only time they leave is to go to the doctor, grocery store or church. There is great satisfaction in making people lives better, you don't know the many of times I've had older people hug me with tears thanking me for what we have done. I feel that's what God blessed me with the ability to do this type of work; I consider this my ministry. You don't know how much I would appreciate to help others by giving some jobs to people that need them and by the people we could help.

Self Identified Competition
We are always competing against contractors, and some are badly skilled, and others like to run the bids up I put my heart and soul into making the repairs I have bid on. I try to treat everyone as if they were my family member regardless of race. My wife feels the same and the few I have working now really seem to have the same opinion.
