Steven’s Restorative Justice Center 467-47-6490 | Government Grant Application

Steven’s Restorative Justice Center | Application Preview

Steven’s Restorative Justice Center is seeking government funding to purchase and renovate a ranch in Texas into a residential program focused on rehabilitating juvenile offenders. With a background in Criminal Justice and Project Management, the founder aims to reduce recidivism, lower court and incarceration costs, and improve victim restitution through a restorative justice approach.

In year one, the center will employ displaced U.S. veterans to mentor and teach juveniles practical skills such as gardening, welding, and animal husbandry. Year two focuses on engaging nearby communities through collaborative activities to generate revenue. By the third year, the center will launch an investor appreciation initiative to encourage community investment. Year four will introduce new projects offering jobs to displaced workers while providing structured recreation for youth. In year five, the model will be scaled to other counties in Texas.

The program is designed to address key shortcomings in the current justice system: overburdened courts, high recidivism, lack of victim restitution, and crowded correctional facilities. Unlike the punitive model, this initiative emphasizes personal growth for offenders, meaningful restitution for victims, and community collaboration. The plan aims to create safer communities while boosting local economies through job creation and skill development.

  • Funding Usage

I have a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and an MBA in Project Management. I am requesting funds to purchase an established ranch in Texas to renovate as a restorative justice center for juvenile offenders. The purpose of this program is to reduce juvenile offender recidivism, reduce court costs, and improve restitution for crime victims.

  • Business Plan

In the first year, I plan to employ and house displaced American veterans to work on the ranch and teach juvenile offenders marketable job skills such as gardening, welding, and animal husbandry. In the second year, I plan to get surrounding communities involved through participating in various activities and projects to increase revenue. In the third year, I plan establish an investors appreciation program to encourage investment opportunities for community leaders. In the fourth year, I plan to introduce additional projects that will provide employment opportunities for displaced workers and provide healthy entertainment for juveniles. In the fifth year, I plan to expand by establishing additional programs in other Texas counties. My restorative justice program will reduce juvenile offender recidivism, decrease court congestion, reduce juvenile incarceration, improve compensation for crime victims, and help juveniles offenders become productive members of society. In addition to increasing Texas revenue, my plan will increase job opportunities for displaced Americans.

  • Self Identified Competition

My competition is the current criminal justice system. Courts are severely congested. Court costs are overwhelming. Correctional facilities are overcrowded. There is no deterrence to prevent offender recidivism. Crime victims receive little to no compensation which should include psychological counseling as well as financial support. My program focuses on healing and restoring communities affected by crime. Offenders are taught that they are valuable human beings and can succeed in life. Victims feel seen and heard rather than ignored and forgotten. Businesses and people can work together to improve their communities.
